    New Banner

Agree that number 3 looks great. Is there a chance it could incorporate the club badge somehow (a "watermark" or similar?). Either that, or can we convince Lucy Pinder to recreate that picture Sid posted, but with this year's kit? (Or nothing....??!!)

Article in Bournemouth Echo- "A Golden Chance to Silence Adkins Wasted".

I agree with bpl (again). Local papers are there to get behind their teams. I think we'd all accept a bit of bias in local papers or the clubs official sites (and let's be honest, our OS isn't above it!), but I just thought this article was taking things way too far. The point about Adkins...

Article in Bournemouth Echo- "A Golden Chance to Silence Adkins Wasted".

I wouldn't disagree with any of that bpl, but I still think that papers need to show a bit more responsibility. (Though maybe I'm just jealous because your local paper is right behind you, whereas all we seem to do is fight with ours...!) At the end of the day it's got to be the best result...

Article in Bournemouth Echo- "A Golden Chance to Silence Adkins Wasted".

http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/8906753.Cherries__A_golden_chance_to_silence_Adkins_wasted/?ref=rss I'd be interested in your opinions on this- both Saints and Cherries fans. I wasn't at the game myself, but my understanding is that we deserved it, though 3-1 may have flattered us...

GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON!!! To all the pessimistic Saints and people that hate Adkins!

Agree with Kingsland. We HAVE to get behind them. Last night was a very bad result, but at least we created plenty of chances- plus, Saturday v Swindon was the sort of game we'd have lost not long ago. If Adkins doesn't get promoted he'll be sacked in the summer anyway. In the meantime- get...

Who Is Best Saints Keeper You Have Seen Play?

I am going to be controversial here.... I am old enough to have watch Shilts play for Saints, but my vote would still go to Niemi. He may not have been at the top for as long, but at his best Niemi made some unbelievable saves.

    Marian Pahars

If you want to go a bit further back, Ivan Katalinic is now doing well in Croatia (that moustache is not easily forgotten!!)

    Marian Pahars

Probably a bit early to judge the potential management qualities for most of the current players, as they are too young in most cases. Many of them seem to have good football brains and be fairly level headed though. I agree with you about Kelv- lots of experience and good communicator...

    What an excellent forum!!

Just wanted to agree with all of the above. Always read 606 but rarely commented- so many numpties just taking things too far. I'd echo SB3's comments- friendly banter is to be encouraged but no WUM's please!

    Marian Pahars

Yes, I agree. Petrescu struck me more as the managerial type- a "thinking" kind of player. Shame we never really saw the best of him at Saints, though his opportunities were limited as I recall. Fair to say they are both doing better in management than some former Saints (Iain Dowie springs to...

    Play for your club!!!

Sorry mate- I'm doing my best, but I'm rubbish. Think Ali Dia on a bad day....

No, I wasn't aware of that. Always good to hear of ex-players doing well, especially such great players as Super Marian (the Japp Stam nutmeg anyone??)

Squad Number 10 - Jason Puncheon

Agree with Kingsland- SELL. A talented player, but his body language at times was terrible. I haven't seen anything from him that we couldn't replace....

Cheers KSFC- I'll be here for as long as the security settings at work allow me!

    St Mary's Stadium - 10 years old

I agree with Beddytare. As great (and unique) as The Dell was, a full St Marys when the place is jumping is an amazing sight- and atmosphere (JPT v MK Dons last year, for example). It's still better than the vast majority of stadiums (even some of the other "new" grounds), plus I'd bet a lot of...
