I'm a Yank fan. After following England in World Cups (sigh!) I thought I'd try following a team. At first I tried Southampton, but it never really took because I had no way of watching Championship and League One games. My wife decided she'd pick a team as well, and picked Tottenham. It wasn't so much the Bale hat trick, as the bitter disappointment of missing out on fourth that made me a fan. (I follow the Chicago Cubs in baseball, history's most futile team. 108 years without a championship--and with no relegation.)
