Confirmed: Armel Bella-Kotchap signs for Saints

I asked a Bochum-supporting friend her opinion & she replied "Damn, Bochum losing so many players. He's alright. His defending is good". So fairly neutral...!

Match Day Thread Saints 9 v Leicester 0, 8pm Friday 30th April, Sky Sports

I'm watching in Australia & none of the pundits suggested there was even a hint of an incorrect decision. They even got comment from Chris Foy who basically said it could've been SFP too, but the officials went with DOGSO & he's fine with that & "anything on the edge of the box is a red"...

Match Day Thread Saints 9 v Leicester 0, 8pm Friday 30th April, Sky Sports

Watching it back, Vestergaard actively and clearly changes the angle of his foot to direct the ball back to McCarthy. No way at all it is a deliberate or reckless attempt to play Vardy's ankles too. Seeing as Balbuena got sent of for contact on the follow through in an area with no danger...

Total Saints Podcast - Season 2019/20

Thanks Ben and the team - the pod has been a huge help with staying connected with saints and saints fans whilst living overseas & has been very entertaining to boot! Excellent effort - will be sorely missed!

Transfer Rumours January 2020 transfer window

Hoedt was a full dutch international who'd made 50-odd appearances for Lazio & in Lemina we were signing a pretty well rated Juventus player in what was seen as a bit of a coup. So agree that at the time they could hardly be called bad selections. Isn't hindsight wonderful...

Transfer Rumours January 2020 transfer window

Well I've actually been in Brisbane for the last 4 years so going to be a bit of a readjustment back to the climate! I'm well used to the early starts for games at least though. Get all prem games streamed for free with my mobile phone provider here which is pretty convenient

Transfer Rumours January 2020 transfer window

I'm imminently moving to Vancouver so that'll make 3 of us at least! Might have to grab some tips for keeping up with games...!

Maya Yoshida New 3 Year Contract

Reminds me of this article from the time of his last contract extension: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/maya-yoshida-interview-if-people-call-this-success-it-is-not-enough-for-me-10107108.html Blazing a bit of a trial for Asian footballers too, which makes it all...

This season . Where will we end up

One would imagine Chelsea will be back up near the top 4 this time out. Liverpool, West Ham & (dare I say it) Everton should all be challenging for Europa. So to finish in the same spot again would be an excellent achievement, but I can see us dropping a few places

Transfer Rumours The Summer Transfer Rumour Thread 2016

Sadly I don't think it's as simple as telling other teams to look elsewhere. Players hear of interest through their agents & if they want to go elsewhere then so be it & the best the club can do is get a decent price for them, which is what we've been pretty good at recently at least. Liverpool...

Transfer Rumours The Summer Transfer Rumour Thread 2016

A bigger stadium would not be irrelevant whatever happens on the pitch. Depending what the plans would involve, a stadium with a hotel, casino, conference facilities etc provides an asset that generates revenue every day of the week, not just match day sales. Look at Wasps becoming the richest...

    Return of the Ox?

A loan-to-buy type arrangement a là Bertrand would be good. Try it out, see how he fits back in & how much he'd want to actually earn a deal & play for the team again...

    LOVE YOU CHARLIE

Asked a qpr supporting mate for his opinion - got a lengthy reply full of nothing but praise. Injury record a bit of a myth...favourite player since Crouchy... ending with the gem "in fact I wish I were 30 years younger and Charlie Austin was my Dad"
