Confirmed: Jack Cork joins Swansea City

Agree with this, him and shelvey will make a good pair - I knw he can be a bit of a plonker (shelvey) but he is a really good footballer and that's a good solId central pair

    Why has our recruiting improved?

There is always an element of luck involved as well where people are concerned, although the saying the harder I work the luckier I get rings true!

Match Day Thread Southampton vs Crystal Palace FA CUP 24.01.2015

I prefer to think of it as amazing the difference not having Warnock as your manager makes!

Lovren's future in doubt as team-mates lose faith

Spot on, he hasn't become a bad player over night in the same way he didn't become world clas with us. System here is set up to support and protect the centre backs with Vic and morgan - doesn't have that in bindippers country

Dave Whelan's latest comments just compound misery of Mackay saga

What a well thought out and reasoned post. What whelan said was wrong but you've got to look at the context and intent behind the statement surely - there was zero malice intended, very different to the John Terry incident for example

    Robbie Savage talking sense?!

Sorry if already posted http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30239777 Really interesting stat on Vic and Morgan

Tim Sherwood column in The Independent.

Friend of mine played in a golf grouping at one of these charity golf things where Sherwood was the "celeb" for their group. He said he had a mouth like the sewer, was truly only interested in talking about himself, a lot and was quite simply a horrible human being. Even though it's a...

Robbie Savage in sensible article shocker!

Yes and disagree with most of what he says, but would rather listen to someone with an opinion than some of the dross rolled out by the BBC

    The Katharina appreciation thread

And so far everything has been done with such dignity. This truly was a really difficult time for them to navigate through but they dealt with it so professionally - you can just imagine what some of the other owners would have been like - in the press all the time.

Have any other Kenyans played in the PL?

    Why no English in Europe?

The other thing to consider is that English clubs attach a premium to English players that clubs in other countries simply wouldn't be prepared to pay - look at the prices for Lallana and Shaw as an example - no way would a foreign club have paid that kind of money for those two, even if they...

    Saint Andros!

I'm going to regret this but the boys a one trick pony show him outside and he has no end product.

TELEGRAPH: Saints warn Schneiderlin of consequences, if he continue to be "difficult"

How on earth is it not ethical? Person x signs up to do y for z period of time for £££££ (yes it's relevant). I had a contract that required 12 months notice from either party to exit it and was rewarded accordingly. The only ethical issue I see here is a player prepared to take the...

Morgan out of squad for Bayer Leverkusen

I think the insurance they have is for catastrophic injury, similar to the RFU, which would cover club in terms of asset value and the player with a large settlement for loss of earnings, etc. Like you say premiums would be huge for one covering general injury.
