Easter Saturday Score Watch (incorporating Newcastle v. Swansea match thread)

If Sunderland lose to Chelsea today, Fulham and Cardiff both draw or lose next weekend and we beat Villa, then we're mathematically safe. But I think we're safe already.

Imagine you didn't support the Swans. You'd think they were safe. Harder to imagine when you're a supporter, but should be mathematically safe by next weekend.

Very true, but they don't give odds like that for things that are likely to happen. They're not stupid. The bookies aren't deciding. They're just showing what's likely to happen.

Time to start planning for next season. Get rid of the players we don't need and get new players in asap.

Yes we are. You can get 33-1 for us being relegated. I'd say more like 100-1 or longer odds.

I think we'redefinitely safe. Even if we lose all three remaining matches, both Cardiff and Fulham need two wins and a draw from last 3 to catch us. Or if only one of them catches us, then Norwich need 5 points from their very tough last 4. And the other teams below us need to catch us. Next to...

I know that many people don't like Dai, but he has a pretty good record when it comes to these things. I don't think he would have said it's a done deal if it's not. Huw could change his mind I suppose, but I think he'll stick with Monk and hope things improve.

I expect Monk to be still in charge. I expect some players in and out, but I don't think Monk is up to the job, so can't see any hope of improving. Dai says it's a done deal, and he's usually in the know.

WHU are safe. No hope of getting relegated. It's between bottom 6. Or are you expecting both Cardiff and Fulham to win all their remaining matches, because that's what they need to do to catch West Ham. Plus a few other teams as well.

Realistic. What do you think - that we'll finish top half? How can anyone expect anything else based on the mess we are at the moment?

Just based on how we're playing these days. I can't see us staying up next season if we're like this.

Easter Saturday Score Watch (incorporating Newcastle v. Swansea match thread)

I think we'd be pretty safe if the scores stayed like this. Cardiff would need two wins out of 3 to catch us. Fulham would need either 2 wins or a win and two draws. Norwich would need a win or 3 draws. Two of those would need to overtake us. That would be very unlikely even if we lost...
