    Loch Ness Drogba

A rare example of a real value matching a player's FPL value.

Match Day Thread Southampton vs West Ham United Boxing day 3pm.

Was trying to think when the last time we had a new manager bounce in terms of results was, like Wolves are having, or even Leicester experienced briefly? Must have been at least 4-5 managers ago.

Official: Ivan Jurić named new manager

In that case, beyond hoping Juric keeps us up, we are also hoping Sheffield Wednesday don't go up. By which point - obviously - Rohl gets poached by another team anyway. It is the true Saints way.

And the fact Corberan thought he was a player for a second and got sent off for touching the ball while in play.

Official: Ivan Jurić named new manager

I think the opportunity is a good one - is a no pressure tilt at PL survival, gaining a half season window to manage in the PL, and having a very good shot at being in the mix to come back up if/when we do go down. Is nothing to lose and everything to gain for many of the best Championship...

The continuing brave, fun adventures of Russell Martin

Haven't they had to pay themselves out of a ten year contract? That sounds a difficult decision to me!

    Saints Stuff

Was good to see Mohammed Salisu represent the Saints brand in Europe last night, messing about with short passes around his own area before gifting Saka a goal from a short pass back to the GK within the six yard box. That's as close an experience of watching Saints in the Champions League as...

Match Day Thread Aston Villa v Soton 7/12/2025 3pm

They're just playing the game out now until Brighton get something.

    Match Day Thread Brighton v Saints - 29/11/24, 8pm

I'm sure many have already mentioned this, but with the amount of fouls Dibling wins, having JWP back in the squad would be the perfect compliment.

Transfer Rumours Winter 2025 January 1st until February 3rd

Am also glad that someone (even if it's just his dad) is acknowledging Fabio Carvalho made the wrong decision with his choice of club. Should have come to Saints.

Transfer Rumours Winter 2025 January 1st until February 3rd

Saw that - we'd surely have to go for that if it's at all possible. Suits all parties massively in terms of game time and geography. Guess we'd be competing as usual with Ipswich and Leicester, but that's about it for clubs who would offer him guaranteed game time, I reckon.

    The Premier League Thread

Basically, could he have dealt with that without the ball hitting his arm? He completely could and should have via his body shape, positioning, anticipation etc. It was a fairly clear handball for me.
