It really looks like the batters are confused. Do they attack or play sensibly. Stokes talks about playing uninhibited and with freedom but he goes out and plays a steadfast proper test innings which is counter to what he says they talk about in the team. No wonder there's no consistency.

Looks like the Aussies weren't impressed by Archer turning up with a pillow this morning and have decided to make him stay in the field all day.

Excellent innings from Root. About time we saw him play here the way his record suggests he should. Seems a nice guy. Well done to him. I think that 350 was about par for this wicket but you never know until both teams have batted.

Travis Head is incredible in pressure situations. So calm and aggressive at the same time. Not over yet though..
