    Mags embarrassing themselves yet again

All this “We have a better team/better players than Sunderland!” Reminds me of a few years ago and a certain Steven Taylor saying “Sunderland don’t have a single player good enough to get in Newcastle's team! “ just before we beat them home and away :emoticon-0136-giggl

    Gary Rowell has died

So sad to hear about Gary Rowell’s passing. One of my all time favourite players. I remember watching him, along with Shaun Elliot and Kevin Arnott break into the team. Such a joy to watch. My first away game was at Newcastle when he scored the hat trick. RIP Gary Always a hero

    Off the field operations

Ahhhhhh Smug! It’s early morning here, what a nauseating sight. When you think of what it was like, and how it could be now it truly is scary. Thank god for KLD and his ambition, foresight and belief in this club. Don’t want to think about it but It could have been so, so different.

Match Day Thread Sunderland AFC v Arsenal FC - Saturday 8th November 2025 - KO 17:30

I was traveling to Houston yesterday. Managed to watch most of the game on my phone. Was at the baggage carousel when the Ballard goal went in. Got some funny looks as my stifled wooohoooo emerged!!! :emoticon-0136-giggl What a game! What a team! What spirit do we possess. Atmosphere absolutely...

    10 games in...thoughts so far

I honestly was dreading the season starting. After the unbelievable playoffs, then the hype of preseason, the signings, the upgrades to the stadium and around the area. The new kits and all the excitement around merchandise etc. Everything was so upbeat that I was expecting a bit of a letdown...

Only saw the second half but Newcastle players hounding the referee several times. None of them booked!!! How??

Christmas, already safe and the derby …

Sadly Joelinton could commit manslaughter on the pitch and not get sent off. He’s the dirtiest player on the pitch every game I’ve seen him in but somehow gets away with it.

Match Day Thread Chelsea FC v Sunderland AFC - Saturday 25th October 2025 - KO 15:00

Busy day yesterday, could only watch the first half of the game! Was honestly mostly hoping for a tense draw, or even just keeping the score to an acceptable level in defeat. Wow, this team just continues to surprise me. So much heart and endeavor! Truly stunning result and performance...

Newcastle Imbecile - This definitely deserves a thread of it's own!!!

And the only teams they’ve beaten are the bottom and third bottom teams.

Match Day Thread Sunderland AFC v Wolverhampton Wanderers FC - Saturday 18th October 2025 - KO 15:00

Enjoyed it tremendously. Nervy of course, but the atmosphere, the spirit of the team and the sense of belonging in the premiership is something real!

The Next manager/head coach to go !

Hope not! Leeds have a decent squad. Having a manager who doesn’t seem capable of using the whole squad, or getting the best out of them suits us fine.

Enjoyed my day. Very happy to have seen us win. Nervy match but Wolves never. really looked like scoring. Glad I didn’t jinx us :1980_boogie_down: Hoping to get back over around February and that tickets remain very difficult to get which would mean we are still on track for a very good...
