There have been some absolutely outstanding signing during the summer, but you’re right about Roefs. For years my heart used to be in my mouth whenever the ball was crossed into the box, but now I’m a lot more relaxed and actually expect our keeper to come out and claim it. Superb signing.

I was fortunate to have been around when he broke into the 1st team and was also there when he scored his hat trick up the road. Loved the lad to bits and was gutted when he sustained his injury, was never the same after that. As others have said, he was also my first non 73 hero. RIP.

I prefer to think of it as a newly promoted squad playing against a Champions League squad that cost over seven times the cost of the newly promoted squad.

I’d say that a 55k stadium would be about right for us at the moment, but we could always do with a bit spare capacity to cater for the really big games and concerts. We could wait for a couple of seasons and possibly lose out on an extra 10k per game (380k over 2 years) and other venues may...

Far exceeded my expectations. Just the way they move and pass the ball around looks like they’ve been playing together for years. Everything about the club seems light years ahead of where I thought we would be.

At the start of the season I was dreading coming up against most of them, now I can’t wait to see how we fair against them. Would be more than happy to come away with 9-10 points knowing we’ll probably strengthen again in January.

Best part of this season is that unlike the Ipswich signing last season, no one knows just how good these players could be in this league.

To me there’s about 8 teams fighting for a European spot, 6 teams fighting against relegation spots and 6 teams who know they’ll probably be finishing mid table. The minimum to me is finishing 17th, success would be finishing top of the bottom 6 and giving us a platform to build on.

They do have a reputation for paying a fortune and unearthing unknown internationals.
