I've been concerned about Bamba's unnerving and spontaneous displays and how it disrupts the defensive unit. However, yesterday Big Sol was immense and did what he's paid to do - defend. It helped Mills who looked far more assured.

I don't think 31 is passed it - Wellens is 31. He has consistently scored goals at a higher level and has an excellent strike rate at international level. He may be past his best, but he is still head and shoulders above the vast majority in this league.

Sven has always stated that if people want to leave he won't stop them - if Bamba has said he wants to leave and we make him stay will his performances nose dive?
