    You have to take into account the CL is over two legs. Much more difficult to beat a superior team over two games (although it can be done by tactically outmanouvering them - see Jose Mourinho). Also you have to discount luck - which sometimes can play a big part in football - a superior team...

    I would have thought it was kind of obvious that La Liga is superior to the PL in England. It really requires very little argument. Even an average Spanish side (Bilbao), has made the best English team look pathetic. Surely the writing was on the wall with Ajax - they outplayed United as well...
