Don’t get me wrong, if we can get some half decent money for him and invest it in a better option then I’m all for it. Just concerned that we don’t have many options up top right now. I think his contract only has one more year, so a good time to sell I guess.

Couldn't agree more. He saved our bacon in a number of games last season, chipping in with goals or acting as a defender at set pieces. I see no reason to move him on just yet. I would prefer we played a nice free flowing pass and move game, but Smith offers an alternative option that we can...

Is this not a bit harsh on the lad. Did a job for us last season, with goals and assists. Whilst he may not be technically gifted, he has put a few away in the past and if given a run in the first team he could well do a job for us again. Not really had much of a chance to contribute this season...

Plenty of experience and a solid pro imo. No spring chicken and not hugely exciting, but hopefully the experience and leadership we need to help compliment the youth. Can cover defence and midfield too. What’s not to like!?
