This is a huge step forward.

No money can replace Charlie Austin in this form....

If the club ever wants to be able to fill a 40k capacity stadium, they need to roll out the money to keep one of the best players in the league (at the moment at least).

    Stadium discussion this morning

So basically Tony has about 5-6 months to get this in motion, mainly getting the compulsory purchase order (even if Cargiant challenges it in court, just having it in place would be key).

Nothing from what I would call a reputable source as of yet, but some chatter: @andyj1979 · 53m 53 minutes ago Very positive news that despite Greens, Lib Dems & Lab trying to block creation of a Mayoral Dev Corporation at Old Oak it has been approved @NoNW10dump 26m26 minutes ago Mayor's...

Cargiant owner's son on QPR Podcast- 'stadium a no go'

It's amusing to me that people assume that QPR didn't offer fair market value for the land. No one knows what was offered, it's common business strategy to claim any offer is a lowball. I imagine what will happen at some point is an independent party will be brought in to determine the fair...

QPR step up pursuit of 40,000 seater stadium

No doubt, but it is good to hear that the plans are supported by that significant amount.

QPR step up pursuit of 40,000 seater stadium

Nearly 600 local residents have responded so far, and more than 80% support the plans, with 3% disagreeing. 85% agreed and 4% disagreed that Old Oak is the right place for QPR to have their stadium: http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/more-than-80-back-qprs-old-oak-plans7332

New Stadium Plans Take Another Twist

So basically everyone wants to panic buy the land? Seems about right. This is all part of the negotiations, the club will get a fair price when it is said and done.

An agreement should be reached with a third party abitrator for fair market value.

QPR step up pursuit of 40,000 seater stadium

If we can draw 45k to Wembley as is, there's certainly the capacity to grow the fanbase to the point where we bring in nearly 40k on a regular basis. And there's no chance Car Giant would be able to stop a project as big as this, especially with the backing the club has.
