    Agree with all the above. With FFP just around the corner we need transfer pragmatism - young prospects (a la Vardy etc) and not big money "names". We finally show some consistency and then this story. Annoying.

    I must admit I didn't know how well Emile would be known down under, but what a terrific bit of business that move could turn out to be on and off the pitch. Now, does any broadcaster want to buy the UK rights to the A league so we can see how the old boy's doing?!

    Perhaps I should have made my point more succinctly. While I don't think he ever received any racial abuse by fans, I think the implication was that had he been white he might not have attracted so much stick.
