Bye Bye Hoddle is a god

We should not be considering banning anyone simply because we do not agree with them. There are too many people on every teams board, who take a different point of view as a personal insult.

    Arsenal downfall is Eboue's FAULT

Maybe a bigger miss off the pitch rather than on. His giving away of the pen v Lpool last season still makes me angry.

What would it take to get wenger sacked?

Losing a 4 goal lead tonight a la Newcastle would lead to Wenger going. As for Mourinho, he would ensure Arsenal would lose a lot of money, if nothing else. He needs shedloads of cash to succeed.

AVB - Ref Complaint to Ref chief

Smalling was offside as was Nani though that was marginal. Hardly a total shocker by the ref. I expect AVB is not querying why Cole stayed on when it could have been a red.

Draw is a good result, and a fair result too

I was happy with the point. The Dortmund goal wss at least not down to bad defending or marking. I am encouraged that it is Olympiakos at home next, who lost last night at their ground. A win for Arsenal there will leave them adrift.

Jurgen Klopp a suitable successor to Arsene?

German teams will always have problems winning the CL as in their league, they have financial restraints to do with debt and losses that do not apply in the Premiership for example. That said, no one mentioned him as a potential successor to Wenger before last night. If they had not equalised...

    Clichy

Father Jack, he just did not progress as quickly as was once thought at Arsenal. Not necessarily his fault or the clubs. A bit prone to dilly dallying on occasions when row Z is a better option. I am not sure how well he has been playing, but by City's results, he has not had to do a load of...

    Sold players.

Clichy just never seemed to progress. I do not think he is too much of a loss.

    Is this deja vu?

Stan, about Arsenal, you are correct, but I expect the Arsenal Chelsea will play will be a stronger proposition. Thats not to say Arsenal will win.

    Is this deja vu?

Drogs, it is too early you are correct, but Man Utd and Man City have beaten teams like Arsenal and Spurs heavily in their 1st 4 games which I don't think Chelsea did last season. Not their fault of course. It's what the fixture list threw up.

    Talk to us, Roman !

JFDI, hope you and yours are well mate. Enjoyed jousting with you on the old 606 as you never took a different point of view personally. I have been trying to get on ja606,but there have been technical issues. As for Roman, he is no different from Kroenke in not talking.

    Financial Fair Play Rules

Bozz, I suspect Lpool will do what they can to get in the CL and then worry about it then. Clubs like Malaga are being bankrolled at present and again will not fall foul of any UEFA rules until they qualify. blue, German clubs have strict rules about going into debt and making losses. I...

Should Andre Villas Boas rip off the band-aid at Chelsea? | Football, Chelsea

I agree Ess. He mixes youngsters with the Giggs and Ferdinand's. Arsenal's youngsters tend to fend for themselves and Chelsea are too cautious in introducing them. Maybe both our teams as well as taking our hat off to Fergie should learn from him and copy him.

Should Andre Villas Boas rip off the band-aid at Chelsea? | Football, Chelsea

Ess, I have said this before and Chelsea fans have taken the point. If AVB starts a couple of youngsters ( I am not talking about a whole team of them) and Chelsea start losing, he will come under pressure from above. Youngsters are often inconsistent. Josh is now the same age as Wilshere was...

Nicklas Bendtner ' I'll Never return to Arsenal'

He is a decent striker, but no more than that. He still has time to get better though.
