Transfer Rumours The January 2026 EFL transfer window opens on January 1st and closes on February 2nd

There are plenty of people who are not convinced Baz isn’t even top of championship standard. There are lots of people who say we wouldn’t have gone up if he hadn’t got injured. So on that basis he might be an upgrade. Just not on a permanent which Sunderland want

Is he not? A video I saw the other day discussing this rumour suggested he was. The stats read out about his promotion season had me sitting and wondering why Sunderland replaced him so quickly

Yes wasn’t there a situation for Le Tiss’s testimonial where someone else had one at a similar time and gave the money to charity and Le Tiss got shade for not doing that. But the other player had played at the very top. I think won leagues for Arsenal maybe? I can’t really remember Edit : I...

SaintsWeb has a poll on January transfer priority. Predictably goalkeeper and striker are top. But given who we have on the books I just don’t see significant movement. Maybe a loan for a goalkeeper who can actually challenge Bazunu (rumour of a Bayern reserve whose loan might be cancelled)...

Can see us doing better against Coventry? Not if we play like that. And knowing the way our injuries / physios work it will turn out that Fellows will be out of that match as well

What a truly dreadful performance against a team with loads of injuries. Unfortunate that we were down to 4th choice at right wing back but it shouldn’t have had such a catastrophic impact. Fraser did nothing. Azaz also might as well have not been playing. Perhaps he only works with pressure...

We seem to have seen an obvious banana skin in our path (team is even wearing yellow) and stepped squarely on it with as much pressure as possible

Well would you look at that - the player who should have been sent off set it up

But so could we to be fair. They’d be within their rights to say the same

We need to stop this passing across our goal and inside out box. It’s insane

Our injuries definitely do seem to take longer. But I expect it’s more that we don’t seem to communicate the nature of injuries (probably intentionally) or even give vague timeframes. So it just seems like our physios are inept when it’s probably the expected recovery timeframe in most cases
