    R.I.P Ian McKechnie

That was my first ever City game. A colleague of mine who supports Preston North End once told me he did a drop-kick clearance at Deepdale which bounced once and over the bar of the opposite goal. Really sad news, condolences to his family and friends.

    Natural disaster puns

I always thought Claudio Reyna sounded like a weather forecast.

    Football experts

It seems to be in the make up of almost every football fan to think you are the world's foremost expert on the subject, and anyone whose opinion differs from yours is a clueless idiot. Is it just a football thing?

    Hull Born Players

The two I can think of off the top of my head are ex-Grimsby stalwart Mark Lever and lower league journeyman Darryn Stamp.

    Beware New Owners

    Butch Wilkins might do.

Allams confirm change to Hull Tigers - via HDM

Indeed. It's ironic that it comes at a time when Manchester United, perhaps the biggest commercial football club of them all, are looking at going in the opposite direction by re-introducing 'Football Club' onto their badge.

    Ince does one...

Probably more to do with having to work with their notoriously tight-fisted chairman.

    The season after next.

None of these players got their current club promotion this season.

How can fans question the investment from the Allams?

Good point again but it depends on the level of your your outgoings. My point really was that nobody should be criticising others for the amount of their own money they are prepared to invest. We have had far, far more frugal owners than them.

How can fans question the investment from the Allams?

None. Good point. He's an experienced businessman though and that was a human thing rather than a football thing imo. If he was unhappy with Nick's performance as manager he should have said so rather than do it the way he did. He would have looked less ridiculous than Forest or Southampton's...

How can fans question the investment from the Allams?

The guy who said the Allams should invest £40 million to get us in the Prem, not sure if you were serious but, if so, would you be prepared to invest 10% of your total personal wealth? ISPLT, you keep banging on about Leicester's owners' investment. They are one club out of 92, how many of the...

Paul Lambert - The Next To Do One?

That there is the problem, not that lack of spending.

Paul Lambert - The Next To Do One?

They spent over £20 million in the summer. They were something like fifth highest spenders in the league I think.

Big rumour on humberside - sharp to city!

I think we should go for that Billy Sharp.
