Don't like this, not at all, seems like panic/desperation. I'd rather we concentrated on Midfield and Defence (imagine the quality we'd get if we'd spent 4.5m for each! Use the load market to cover injuries etc... But then I'm not an experienced football manager :)

I guess I'm just thinking of the past and sustainability. We're in a strong position right now, both financially and on the pitch (last 2 games excepted!). I just don't want to see us throwing silly money around on primadonnas who could just as easily upset the team spirit.

Survive at this level? I'm really don't thing we should (note should, football is a funny old game) have a problem surviving at this level; we have kept our league winning team together (who knows what interests and offers we have had to fend off, I'm sure there must have been plenty of interest...

I don't think it's a case of thinking about it carefully, he's being forced out and we are the last resort. He doesn't want to be here that seems obvious.

His wage demands would be excessive and he would probably upset the team spirit with that big gob of his... Saying that with such a young squad maybe he would do a good job with his previous experience. Personally I would say no...

We don't want a player who would rather be somewhere else especially for 6M, there was a lot of talk about the team spirit last season lets concentrate on that.
