Match Day Thread Millwall v Hull City

Great game - Joseph turned into Mc Burnie and McBurnie turned into Dixie Dean (that really was a brilliant header). Pandur definitely had his best game of the season and both Hughes and Ajayi were magnificent. Belloumi and Millar are top class and although Millar really should have been sent...

Belloumi - I love the way he just floats past defenders and, although relatively small, doesn't shirk from strong aerial challenges. Ajayi - dominant in defence and he moves the ball forward positively - some towering headers again and I think his partnership with Hughes gives us our best...

Impressive from City - some great defending (loved Coyle's brilliant last ditch tackle) and incisive attacking play in the second half.

Oxford are really having a good go - biting tackles and a really determined press has kept them in it.

It's hard to believe that there won't be many more casualties in the Hong Kong fire - population density in the blocks of flats is unimaginable.

Record attendance old division 3/ division 3 North

The Rotherham game was frequently cited as the biggest attendance in the 3rd division. The Sunderland gate is usually labelled the highest third tier attendance in the modern era but was well behind. I've just checked and there were much higher numbers than either in the 1930s. The best league...

Match Day Thread Derby v Hull City

Confidence is a huge thing for keepers - it can be easily lost and it's sometimes difficult to rebuild. Pandur has shown all the signs of a player who is very low on confidence. His diffidence when coming off his line has been a problem all season and it was clearly on show again tonight.

Pandur was at fault for their goal last season too - bit of a bogey ground for him.

    Sheffield Wednesday have done one...

I remember that game and I did have the programme somewhere (but can't find it now) which had our directors faces blanked out and just a note to say that we were in the hands of administrators. I may be wrong but I think that Halifax were also in a similar situation.
