    Lita's Goal - Chalkboard

Chalkboard of the build up to Lita's goal on Saturday. Fantastic move, heavily driven by Britton's contribution. Full review of the game and chalkboards at http://wearepremierleague.com including a comparison of Vorm's and Robinson's kicking which were different approaches to say the least.

    Villa Chalkboards

I’ve put a new set of chalkboards/stats up for the Villa game at http://wearepremierleague.com. Before Sunday I’d have happily taken a 0-0 and obviously the events of that morning help explain why the game itself was a bit drab. Villa definitely came with a game plan of disrupting our...

Chalkboard Review / Opta Stats of Man U game

I'd imagine Villa will sit back and look to hit us on the counter attack. I can see it being a fairly drab 0-0 but to be honest I'd be delighted with that and I'd see it as a decent point.

Chalkboard Review / Opta Stats of Man U game

Hi all, I've put together a chalkboard blog on the Man U game at http://wearepremierleague.com It's never nice to lose but ultimately Man U are a better team and did a professional job (They've had 3 1-0 league wins in a row now). We played well and had a couple of good...

Mark Gower: Best footballer in the premier league?

It's amazing how this stat has taken on a life of it's own and is more famous than Gower himself. I'd have Gower in my team but the stat is heavily flawed. I think he created 6 chances against Wolves and 7 against Bolton (or other way round) then a couple of chances in the 25 min he was on...

    Vorm's passing this season

I've put a new blog together at http://wearepremierleague.com looking at passing from Vorm so far this season. He's shanked or overhit a few into the stands this season and his pass completion rate varies from 51% (Sunderland) to 96% (Bolton) which to some extent will be dictated by the level...

BR on life as a young manager, attacking football, survival and much more.

Good post! As Scott said, nice to hear an interviewer actually ask some interesting questions (although there's an audible intake of breath when he gets asked would he manage the Republic of Ireland one day and points out that he's actually from Northern Ireland). To be fair to the interviewer...

Fact or Fiction: Michel Vorm is Swansea City’s Most Important Player

He definitely makes some saves that are for the cameras but I'd say he arguably is (along with Leon) the most important as he will be the hardest to replace if injured/suspended. The aim for any side is to have substitutes who are not significantly worse than the first team, I feel we're...

Premier League Table after 11 games vs last season

I've put a new blog together at http://www.wearepremierleague.com looking at the table so far this season with after 11 games in the Premier League last year. Ultimately I've largely written off Wigan and Blackburn already (as much wishful thinking as anything else) and look at the likely...

    Joe allen

I think we were very, very lucky that both him and Dyer chose to sign new contracts at the start of the season. The form they've both shown means that we would probably have had to sell them in January or see them leave at the end of the season. It seems for the bigger clubs at least now...

    30,000 +

I'd say there are around 5-8,000 who'd watch regardless of what division we were in. Probably get gates of 15-18k in the Championship and around 23-25k in the premiership if we had the capacity. In that regard a stadium the size of Carrow Road would probably be perfect for us this season for...

    Most creative player in Europe

To some extent it shows you can prove anything you want if you choose what to include/exclude. I think the stats include chances created from corners/free kicks and also it was hugely biased by the Wolves and Bolton games which we bossed where I think he created 6 chances in one and 7 in the other.

    Liverpool Chalkboards/Opta Stats

Review of the Liverpool game now up at http://wearepremierleague.com I think sometime soon Liverpool will give someone a real hiding, we had a bit of luck but overall an excellent performance and as I mention in the blog, I think the squad appears to be in a far better shape that it seemed a...

    Chalkboards/Stats for Bolton game

aswan_dam - The Opta stats are available on the guardian website, don't need to pay but you do need to register www.guardian.co.uk/chalkboards has a lot of info but not as much as the clubs buying the full Opta data would have e.g., On the guardian you can filter on who makes the pass but not...

    Chalkboards/Stats for Bolton game

My latest Chalkboard/Opta stats review for the Bolton game now available at http://wearepremierleague.com Rather than focus on the passing of Allen/Britton, which was superb but has been well covered elsewhere, I've focused on Williams and Vorm as I felt Bolton's pressing game was a bit half...
