Match Day Thread Watford v Blackpool

I'm surprised by peoples views about the first half, I thought we absolutely bossed it but lacked that bit of cutting edge. I would say that Hoban was poor and we needed the third player in midfield but apart from that we were in complete control, so to go in 2 down felt a bit wrong. The second...

    Watford v Wigan

Lineups like that one show how good a job Sannino did to get us away from the drop (the bench especially - a keeper, 2 CMs and 4 centre halves)

    Fulham v Watford

You might be right with that although I'm not sure it will be a big loss. Aside from the homegrown aspect I'm not really sure what he offers to the team.

Been poor ever since the Sheff Wed game

Not sure if anyone watched the sky sports programme till the end but it looks very much like Andrews could be off soon

    Fulham v Watford

We could have been 3 up by the time they went down to 10 I'm not really sure what they can realistically do to get back into this match.

Keith Andrews not happy about being out the squad by the sound of it

    Watford v Cardiff.

Vydra and Munari could probably do with a rest so I'd leave them on the bench for this one

fair enough, he'd probably be more of attacking midfielder if we could fit him in there I suppose

Forestieri has been great and Ighalo has done a job so far in fairness to him

    Early days...

I agree the decision not to play Vydra and Munari was odd to say the least. However it has to be said that he brought both of the players onto the pitch at effective times and they both made immediate impacts against the best team in the league. They also caused chaos amongst probably the second...

That's a bit harsh, he's had 7 games and he's only made mistakes in 2 of them. I think that's reasonable for a new manager in a new league.

    Derby v Watford

Why put all the time and effort into getting Vydra to come back and then leave him on the bench against the best team in the league? Also, hate to say it but I think Forestieri needs to take a large share of the blame for us losing today. He bottles a guilt edge chance 6 yards out then dives in...

    Derby v Watford

Dropping your best player against top of the league is a bit of an odd one

    Why not Watford

It was never too bad really because we're a mostly unhatable club and more importantly we always win in Yorkshire. Most people up here don't even know where Watford is (try explaining to a Northerner that a place can be on the London Underground map but not actually be in London.)
