    sepp blatter

I agree Ron. I don't understand why luddites are so worried about a "video referee". Look how much better test cricket is now games aren't decided by umpiring mistakes. Blatter claims that the game should be the same top to bottom, but nobody in my local cricket league complains that we don't...

    blues v rochdale

Can you believe how much beever has come on this season. I could always see he was a classy player, but without the goalscoring touch, much in the mould of the excellent Steve McGavin. But someone has got inside his brain and told him to be a bit more selfish and shoot rather than pass, and boy...

disappointed with lack of transfer movement.

I really doubt that we are paying £300K a year. It just doesn't stack up against our income, or that of our competitors. I would guess (and it really is a guess) that we would be paying a max of around £120-150K. Does that sound right?

    Where is Hayes?

Hi BBB, Thanks for your comments. I agree entirely and applaud your common sense approach to the matter. I share your concerns about the alternatives for our club. Thanks

should betsy start against the franchise on saturday

I notice almost everyone on this board prefers McCoy over Foster at right back. I 100% agree with this, but Gary seems to be watching 2 different players. Am I missing something?

Hayes Has Put Wasps Up For Sale

Hi Devon, Assuming he is a savvy and very rich businessman, I wonder if investing in WWFC is the best use of his cash. Do these people really make money out of football clubs, or is it more of a hobby / ego trip? We see losses every year, as do most clubs. So, unless he was to sell the ground...

Hayes Has Put Wasps Up For Sale

For many months the Wasps baords have been saying "Hayes doesn't care about Wasps, he just a footie fan" and the Blues boards have been saying the opposite. Well, I guess he has shown his colours somewhat by selling Wasps and keeping the Wanderers (unless someone can tell me an alternative...

    Communication with WWFC

What makes me smile is that our "Media Assistant" hasn't heard of the NOT606 forum.

    Most disliked Wycombe player

I don't have a hated player. Mickey Bell, mentioned above is one of my favourite ever players, along with Dave Carroll and numerous others. The most unpleasant and selfish individual was Tony Adams. He has a incredibly high opinion of himself considering he has absolutely no aptitude for...

Greatest wycombe players of the last 25 years

Dave Carroll, Mickey Bell, Brownie, Westie, Rhino, Guppy, Tyson, Ainsworth, Johnson, Garner, De Souza (for 1 season) McGleish, Taylor, Bull, McGavin (Sorry, but I thought he was class), My favourite - Ainsworth - Just a top bloke. The best, probably Carroll.

    Loan Players

Scott Davies, first spell, superb. If someone can persuade him he's not D Beckham, he will will be a good solid player who can always get goals from midfield.

    Possible players for next season

I agree with the few on here who defend Matt Harrold as a pretty decent Div 2 striker. People seem to have too extreme views IMO. He certainly isn't the best player we have seen, but nowhere near the worst, and I actually think he had very good close control. If anyhting that was his strong...

not 606 wycombe player of the season

    1. Bull, 2. Beever 3. Ainsworth But actually no one gets near Bull. I would give him all 3 votes if possible. Without him we would be mid table. Referring to the other thread about his reaction on Saturday, you can see what a committed professional he is, with superb concentration. Making that...

Video player on the wycombe website

Re. The Man City win. I think we did the double on them that season. I remember winning 1-0 at home and Gallagher was there. He took awful stick from our young uns in the crowd. He left early with his bouncers, waving his fist at us oiks. One of my best memories at Adams Park. Someone so rich...
