If VAR worked really well, then fine, but it interrupts the flow of the game and some of the decisions are inexplicable and/or overstep its remit. I’d take an outrageous **** up or two from the ref/linesmen ahead of keeping VAR as it stands (especially as it seems we still get the former anyway).

Fraser and Almiron will be on the bench and Murphy won’t make the subs when everyone’s fit. A couple more windows and the subs bench will look half decent. Looking forward to seeing ASM, Wilson and Isak together after they develop some understanding.

3. We’ve missed our 3 best players for a couple of those games. No idea what Roland gets so worked up about. Did enough to win today against a decent team. Could have been 2-0 up against Liverpool. Had a chance to win against City. Some decent performances, some ground out draws, some unlucky...

I didn’t say it’s the way I’d like us to play, but he was obviously pretty effective in the Burnley team. It’s not his fault a club came along, gave him more money and then had no real use for his style of football. We should sell him, but to say he’s useless or can’t do a specific job isn’t true.

He’s got a pretty good scoring record. We don’t play to his strengths. Not his fault that we made an overpriced signing, though given some of the fees this summer…

It’s just where I live. Not really a reason for another poster to get his knickers in a twist, but that seems to be GG’s way. I guess I could get worked up about his inability to differentiate between where and were, but life’s too short. <laugh>

Perhaps, but neither have had regular game time and both will presumably start on Saturday. If we had less injuries, Howe may have been less cautious, but he knows more about the players than we do.

We were pissing about in extra time. We also ****ed up the defending. It wasn’t corruption that lost us that game. Shot ourselves in the foot.
