Tottenham in the Summer transfer window

I heard rumblings Drogba wants back to the premier league with his Chinese side in turmoil.. worth a cheeky bid?

    Under 21's tonight

I heard Caulker was at fault for one of United's goals, did he look good apart from that? We need him now.

    Kaboul

Completely agree, I'd love to see him start ahead of Gallas but as you say - AVB's team selection so far leads me to think otherwise. I guess we do need some experience in the back line. Who would lead a back four of Walker - Caulker - Vertonghen - Benny ??

"Donkey" Carroll demonstrates the other face to "player power"

Surely they wouldn't loan him to us. Would also be a potential lose-lose situation - if he plays well and gets back to his Newcastle form they'll have him back, if he stays a donkey it's a waste of time. Good on him for sticking to his guns though, I think Rodgers should take note of his (all...

    Kaboul

Caulker played in the under 21 game with United, seems to be viewed as one for the future.. Gallas and Verty with Dawson on the bench.

    Lloris and Laurent Blanc

I do realise that, my point was not that it makes him a bad manager but there is a bigger risk of it going wrong with him than Blanc. AVB did great at Porto but then it was his home club that he loved, and they could reasonably expect to win the league with the squad they had. Blanc achieved a...

    Lloris and Laurent Blanc

spurfectionist - of course nothing is guaranteed, but the odds would have to be on Harry replicating the level of performance. He never wanted to change things so it would be a reasonable assumption. As I've said previously I wouldn't see AVB as a disaster but he seemed to completely lose the...

    Yet Another Manager Poll

I justified it in my maiden article :) Blanc won manger of the season in his first year at Bordeaux, than went on to win the League, League Cup and set a record of 11 straight victories. All this while playing fluid attacking football.

Nelson gone, Saha gone, Gomes staying...

Yes definitely, with regards to the squad it's a great move in my opinion. Caulker's proved that he's a prem player, not so sure about the others though. Rose could still go either way and Naughton hardly made waves at Norwich. I'm surprised Gomes is being kept on - we never looked confident...

    Yet Another Manager Poll

Is this who we want or who we think will be manager? I'm hoping for Mr White :)

    Lloris and Laurent Blanc

Agreed the safe option is most definitely Moyes - we'd be nailed on for top 6 at least with him in charge. But then we had that with Harry. I get the feeling Levy's going to roll the dice on this one, as you say any choice he makes will be made seen as mad by some fans, especially if he doesn't...

    Lloris and Laurent Blanc

Fair point, but after seeing what AVB did with the Chelsea squad I know who i'd prefer.

    Villas-Boas

Forgive me if I don't believe this rumour - wasn't Vertonghen supposed to be announced two Mondays ago?
  14. Bales Left Boot

    Lloris and Laurent Blanc

Morning all, first article here so go easy. Not sure how much has been said about the Blanc rumours on here but I see AVB isn't being well received. Fair enough - he would be a huge gamble. I'd love to see Blanc given a chance and get Lloris to come with him - i've not seen the game yet...

Can somebody please explain how england had a 'lucky escape'....

Well said, we proved against Sweden we have the character to come back at teams anyway. I must admit I haven't read much about the game this morning but i'm surprised the media have taken this angle - they've been generally positive about Woy's England.
