Links today saying Murphy could be sent on loan back to Ipswich for the second half of the season and with Arma's loan set to expire in January would you be in favor of that switch. For me Murphy is a good experienced head but is probably getting frustrated with being 3rd/4th in the pecking order here and I'd make the switch. Not sure when his contract expires but think we need another striker if we get promoted regardless of who is here next year and Arma will probably offer slightly more off the bench than Daryl this year.
Prefer Arma was getting plenty of games. If we are going to actually give him a chance to play in behind the front man, fine. If not he's better served being at Barnsley playing regular football. I don't think substitute appearances will help. Perhaps we only wanted Murphy to get us through to the next window. We should be able to get some decent firepower in. We need to find someone who is young enough to develop and be useful in the PL. Andy Cole type signing is what we should be aiming for.
We'd do well to get him in the side regularly to see what he's made of, now we're seemingly well-positioned to go up next season. His club form seems to have dropped off, but he's been scoring for fun in the national team. Now or never is the phrase that springs to mind.
Updates, hmmm......... I've just seen the following headline on the BBC - Michael Barrymore arrest officer 'not fully briefed' Either Barrymore has been at it again, or the police have adopted the 'if you can't beat them join them' approach!!
Its a tricky one. if we bring him back it needs to be because we are going to give him decent game time.
Saw a video on Facebook of some of the cracking goals Laurent Robert scored. A 25 year old version of him would be a good January signing. We've been good Santa.
I've also been saying this for some time, but I'm starting to think we may have actually already signed him. 16 goals in 15 starts. Predatory. Quick as ****. Lethal finisher. I don't think we could win promotion and not make Gayle a key part of our attack tbf. I can see players like him and Hayden growing with the club and stepping up to the level we need if we are in the EPL next season.
No but I think we might have a stressful month behind the scenes that might reflect on the pitch I think the Jan transfer window should be eliminated from the game personally
