Clucas was poor today Why didn't we add some legs after we went ahead? We looked better but we need to be a winning games like that when we pull ahead.
I see the official attendance was 17,403. Got mentioned on final score. Killer said the club needed an overhaul from top to bottom.
Hudds and robbo were fantastic. Take the positives as hard as it is lads but we bloody fought out there and that is the main thing. We do that we will pick up points. Formation much better and much more positive. Hope we keep it up
How was that the same team that played so poorly at Middlesbrough. 1 million times better than Monday.
The gap in attacking resosurces between us and them is massive. Puncheon, Zaha, Benteke, Campbell, Townsend, Wickham and even Cabaye.
That was fabulous and set the tone for the match. Long time since a match put a grin on my face. Interesting that the team was essentially the core that came up in the summer, Marshall excepted, and they played like they did against Leicester. The band of brothers spirit back in evidence. Wonderful to see Hudd bossing midfield and running the match as he does best. Saw Elmo running the fastest he has for a couple of seasons. Sam and Robbo linking up nicely again. "You greedy bastard". Harry surging at goal and confusing everyone. All great stuff. From my angle, Snoddy's "dive" didn't look like a dive as such, looked like he thought he was going to be taken out so jumped out of the way. Not seen the replay yet, but to be honest the ref was so pernickity and inconsistent, I'll take the penalty in lieu of some of the other shocking decisions he was making.
Huddlestone superb today. Although I suspect he'll not spend 90 minutes untackled on Wednesday, as he enjoyed today. Also, this Fraizer Campbell bullshit is ridiculous. He proved again he's a decent player, I'd have him back at City in a heartbeat.
What goes around comes around with bad decisions McGregor sent off at theirs for **** all 3 seasons back
I thought Zaha was the difference today, class player. Disappointing result but good game to watch, plenty to get optimistic about. Wonder how MP will re-introduce Mason/Henriksen though, it can't be coincidence that we put in a performance when they're not on the pitch.
To be fair to the ****, no he didn't ...hands trying to calm it all down and no smirk or owt. Class finisher as always, not been on the pitch 10 mins, first half chance and it's in.
From what I saw of it, best performance of the season and we're now past Derby's total. The players (not the club of course) got some dignity back and if they carry on working like that, we can hold our heads high.
Few gripes: Why did we let them run through us second half without challenging? Defensively, something just isn't working. Why do we read the opposition team out right before kick off? It's such a drab build up going into the match. Atmosphere was non-existent in this time of both teams being called out. Last year's light show was better to build up. Why do our fans rush to throw the ball back in to the opposition when we're in a winning position? Why haven't our fans learnt to stop goading ex-players? It only spurs them on. However, probably the best we've played this season. Real drive and energy. Great passing. Plenty of chances made. Controlled most of the game. Fans were good too. Full behind the team and on the referee's back. The guy with his banner for the sponsor should be given a knighthood. Surely the guy who took it off him can be arrested for theft?
