Crikey Kiwi, you have nearly 50,000 'likes.' We'll have to try and get you to that landmark figure by the time the R's take to the pitch again.
I did not go Saturday but I heard from a mate that it was buzzing at HQ. This can only be a good thing. It was also refreshing to see Washington score and players playing in their correct positions (something JFH kept getting wrong). To say I was on a downer after the Brentford game was an understatement. So agree with Nines in that HQ and the football was 'Souless'. However I also agree with Finglas that it is only one game and I won't get carried away. Been there before and won't get bitten again. I never wanted Holloway (like I didn't want Benny or JFH) I wanted WARNOCK (for those who need reminding) but as I have said I will support him and hope we win our games. Holloway will bring passion and many soundbites (and Chairman hugs) that the locals will love but for him to succeed he needs to prove to me (and others) that he has more in the locker. I can go on about the old days and the hoofball under his management but I will wipe the slate and give him the respect and chance to push us forward. I really hope he does move us forward but for now I will sit on the fence and watch.
The poll asks the question "are we glad he's gone?" Not are we glad we've appointed Ollie, for that reason I voted yes. Time will tell on the latter.
No, you're not. I have moved into the No camp from not sure. I think under JFH we would have been comfortable mid-table. I think under Olly, we will come very close to going down. I would have preferred us to keep JFH and be bored with the style of football for a few months rather than possibly go down to L1. Next Summer would have been a better time to make the managerial change once we had secured our Championship status.
I thought we were organised under Jimmy. TBH I haven't seen enough of us under Olly, but get the impression especially with the formation changes, that we arent now. Bircham said something about the team today had round players in round holes! I think Jimmy''s way of setting up his teams with the best available, a few in square holes is necessary when we don't have that much quality.
I would say that Hassle Floyd Jimmybank's time was up, but whether Ollie was the right choice of replacement, only time will tell.
Was going nowhere under JFH so I'm still in the 88%, at the same time I think would have stayed in/around mid-table & not dragged into the relegation zone. Didn't think CR, JFH or IH were the best candidates of those available at the time so for me any blame sits with SLF/TF.
Never voted. Wanted JFH gone just for the awful let's go out to contain football and won't change my view wherever we end up this season. It's all an irrelevance until the cretin Fernandes and his circus have gone.
I would hate to see the fans turn on Ollie, I have too much respect for what he did in a previous incarnation but I fear if this dismal run continues that is exactly what will happen. The phrase "you should never go back" could prove to be spot on.
Agreed ....................... The best thing Ollie could do is say very little. He doesn't need to keep the media entertained, he needs to keep the players attention and get them working together.
