I cannot see Spurs going beyond the last 16. As I have said Shaktar have looked very impressive but how they keep fit during the cold winter months I do not know - maybe they have club tours to China, USA, South America to maintain match sharpness until the competition resumes again in February.

 

Ii don't think either West Ham or Southampton threw the Europa. It was more a case of naivety in Southampton's case and lack of knowledge about playing in this kind of tournament. The Israelis bided their time and knew the exact moment when to score. Then Southampton throw caution to the wind not knowing how to play in the previous 75 minutes.

Southampton needed to win. to end up scraping a draw shows how bad theyve fallen off the cliff.

They were not great last year but strung a very good run together to get up the table but lost a few players.
