You wont make the playoffs... Chesh how much do you want to give me to place the bet. I will of course give you the winnings.
I feel sorry for Phillips, looked like an instinctual handball and he copped the punishment for it. Green at fault imo which led to the penalty and Phillips being sent off. Very indecisive by Green, he couldn't make his mind up what to do and looked like he was flapping around like a half dead haddock. He's the keeper, he should know that a keeper either comes or stays put, no half hearted attempts while he makes his mind up, even a hand on ball would've deflected the ball away from goal. Bartley was walking a tight rope for most of game, he was wrong side of the player and pulled him down after the player was getting away from him. Not a standard performance from Bartley. Leeds had 2 shots and no shots on target, I couldn't understand Monks subbing, attack wise we had no impact up front. Wood looked like a wandering nomad, Sacko off his game, Roofe wasn't brilliant. Down to 10 men and we didn't seem to give up but, we gave away 2 penalties and paid the price; Brighton played the better football. I think what we've seen is what's to come in second half of season.
Morning all. Meanwhile Kim's bet on the gays goes marching on as they're miles clear of 4th place and the only team anywhere close to denying Toon the title, as I told sniffer. Been there, got the recent experience t-shirt at this level unlike Toon, and always up there challenging, but would sniffy listen. Looking very good at 13/2 & 7's.
No Norman, just making a point that people should listen to sensible and reasonable points rather than get too ahead of themselves.
Morning all. Disappointing result last night. But lost to two pens with 10 men. So not all bad. In the past, we would have been well stuffed. So shows we're generally making progress, especially as we're still missing our 1st choice starting defensive midfield. Let's hope Bridcutt & O'Kane get back soon
TBF, the only reason the first goal did not go in was because it came into contact with Phillips hand. Second pen should have been a booking for the Brighton lad. If the ball had squeezed past Phillips, I wonder whether we could have come back 11 v 11. The commentator made an observation moments before half time saying that the only shot Brighton had on target was the penalty.
Morning Matt, fair comments mate particularly the last paragraph but Brighton always just do enough to get a result and know how to grind out wins, as I've said before.
