Jenas on commentary said he's seen Austin pop his shoulder back in during a game and continue playing and he was shouting "I'll be fine." while lying on the ground so I don't think he'll be out for long.

Guys. Can we avoid making this personal? We all know where that ends up. I will only add that it's best not to post something on here that you wouldn't say to someone down the pub, face to face.
Assuming that you aren't looking for a rumble!

Last season a lot of fans hoped that Southampton would have a good long run in both the League and FA Cups, only to see all hopes of an appearance at Wembley destroyed at the QF stage in the former and very early in the latter. What happened next is history, save to say the team and manager became very focussed. Just maybe, now that the EL campaign is over, the team will be much more concentrated than previously.

I'm looking forward to being bored out of my mind on Sunday. As I'm not expecting much, I'm not going to leave disappointed.

I've started to avoid coming on to the match threads when we lose. We are all gutted but some of the over reaction is ridiculous. Only two weeks since we beat Everton and Arsenal. ffs.

Indeed. I've been sorely tempted to get involved, but what will it achieve? <peacedove>
We ****ed up. We need to get over it. These times are a test of character :emoticon-0153-broke

But the results prior the those two games were exactly the same manner as our last two games (palace and hapoel). We've scored 9 goals in 12 games and look less likely to score as each game passes. IMO Puel is living off the two results you've mentioned above because there hasn't been a lot to shout about since the start of October.

What a let down. One up front? We should have properly gone for it. Couldn't beat a bunch of guys who play in the desert. German and Spanish teams would have taken us apart.

    I'm very disappointed

So we think he is off to one of Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United or Manchester City. I'll throw in two more - Barca and Real so he'll probably end up at Bayern!!!

Or your country. But 51% voted for Brexit.

I've started not enjoying going to the football because of having to listen to this crap. A few years ago it was the racist Wanyama abuse. Do all clubs have these fans or do we have more than average?

There is a sizeable Asian population in Southampton but I have never seen an Asian or groups of Asians in the crowd. The club needs to try and get these guys in through the turnstile.

Imagine relying on a 93rd minute Yoshida header to get out the group?

That's why we deserve to be out.

You don't classify that as abusive?

If I were to say I find your petulant posts, following every poor performance every season, childish in the extreme, would you call that abusive?

Aren't you the bloke who, this time last year, started a thread basically calling for Koeman's head?

Every team has bad patches.we are in one right now. But im pretty sure we had a bad patch this time last year, and the year before that.we will come out the otherside and start playing better again soon im sure of it.still dissapointed about lastnigh but its time to move on to the next one.

Also seen people calling for puel to be sacked.there is a thread over on the other saints forum about it.i think that is a complete over reaction.not long ago we beat arsenal and everton and puel was the tactical master is supporters eyes. Give him time.

What do you mean by Asian?

Ive seen groups of people I assume to be Japanese. I always guessed they were students or tourists here to see Maya.

We failed to get out of the group because we failed to score a single goal away from home. One goal in any of our away games and we'd have been through.

Last night was extremely disappointing but entirely predictable. They came and did a number on us. Admittedly last night we created very little. But in Milan we created loads and just didn't get the breaks. We have been both naive and unfortunate during this campaign. Despite last night, I wouldn't call it a complete disaster.

Agree that it hasn't worked in general, but it's really easy to spot poor decision making between the two. Both Bertrand and Redmond on the whole tend to shoot on some occasions where it's clear there was clearly a better opportunity available. Note I said some, not all.

By contrast, Tadic probably passes sometimes when he should shoot, and Cedric is so poor at Crossing that I'd advise him just to not bother, and pass the ball to someone else.

It's about better decisions across the whole team, incremental gains for each player that could add up IMHO.
