So what 'non English' food do you lads and lasses like? For me... number 1 is Turkish. I did try Korean last night and Pakistani the night before. But ain't a fan of either tbh.
Grey street monument on Saturdays is surrounded by about 40 stalls from round the world selling food. Had some jerk chicken, rice and peas on Saturday. Canny. Well worth a look.
I know this may get me excommunicated, however I like to eat at Adam Johnson's favourite Chinese " fook em yung "
I really hate haggis. And black pudding. Was never too keen on porridge for a long time but that was down to having a Scottish mother who kept putting salt on it. Food I love would be Chinese, in particular Cantonese, and Italian.
You fat bazzards, I don't eat anything like this anymore. No more take aways, no more trips to Red Mezze up near St James.....bollox.
Is this on throughout the year or just at certain times? I hardly ever go into town anymore in the shopping areas although I could be persuaded to go in early before a 3pm kick off for a nice bit of street food scran.
Vietnamese food is really nice. There's a Vietnamese sandwich shop on Grainger Street (next to the Subway) which does great banh mi sandwiches, spring rolls, and pho soup. I don't think we have a proper Vietnamese restaurant in the north east though, do we? Mediterranean food in general is great. I'd say Lebanese is the best I've tried but Greek is also pretty great. The French know a thing or two about producing a good plate of food too.
Spotted this tonight around London Haymarket... A good avatar for someone who wants to get banned. please log in to view this image
I like a good old Irish mixed grill...... baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes, fried potatoes, chips, crisps and potatoe skins.
It was on last Monday lunch time. The glorious smell of food was everywhere, only I'm not eating this stuff anymore <athlete>
I had a Vietnamese somewhere in north london not that long ago. got taken by my sis and brother in law. looked a right rough old job stank of fish sauce when you walked in. The food was amazing though. I think thats been my favourite meal out for quite a while
I like simple food, so I can't really comment I eat core ingredients and don't bother with sauces or any flavours if I do have a treat I'd like Greek or Italian because it no nonsense and can be extremely healthy too
