I am when our manager doesn't play for a 0-0 draw that was bound to blow up in his face. I won't be made to feel guilty for leaving early after watching that.

Tom generally agree, but SIMs had a poor game.Go easy on Kat, her old man saved the club, we failed to qualify from this group purely down to the negative game plan of the manager.Give those players to Eddie Howe and we would have won the group

I get his point tbh, even if we did grab the second I wouldn't celebrated madly. All it would have done is covered up the blatantly obvious problems we have.

It's not necessarily the results, it's the manner of the results

I have to respectively disagree, multiple occasions he got himself into odd situations, missed passes or lost the ball. but then again, so did everybody else.

At least he got balls across the box, he was also one of the few pushing forward.

Also to not have given Fonte any minutes during our European campaign is a disgrace in my eyes. I can't imagine it has done Puel many favours in terms of dressing room moral and comradery

I said the other day that whatever the result I wanted to be walking home thinking that we had given it our best effort.
    Wow. How disappointed am I.
We were woeful. And that was with, what many thought, was a strong team.
Yet again we have conceded a goal as a direct result of an individual error, although it's difficult to get too angry with Romeu.
We desperately need decent, attack minded midfield players and we desperately need to start scoring goals, because a few more performances like this, WILL see us dragged into the relegation battle.

That is stupid. Always love a Van Dijk goal (we need to show him love)

We haven't got the players that is my point. All our midfielders are the same, they are all defensive minded and hard working. We haven't got one attacking cm at all. Combine that with just Austin who can score, it will never look good.

Want to add one more thing (still haven't read)

Firstly before anyone jumps on me for slating people etc. I'm not fully having a go, just a feeling I got across the 6 games:

I don't think the club, and by club I mean the board, manager and (some, not all) players just how ****ing big this competition was to the fans.

A lot of English fans don't rate the EL, but to a small club like us it's ****ing huge. It doesn't come around a lot for teams like us and I think the club underestimated the magnitude of it to us fans.

Like I say, just a feeling I got across all the games.

Also, this won't be popular (espescially with recent speculation) but I'm actually ****ing fuming that Jose didn't play a single minute.

He's done more for this club than any other player at the club, and as club captain should have led us out AT LEAST ONCE in Europe. No wonder he feels like he's been treated like ****... on a positive anyone at the game would have seen the majority are still behind him <applause>

Oh well, at least I got to see Saints at the San Siro... some had a little dig when I said it was once in a lifetime...

I will say Redmond needs to be dropped, not just because of how he is playing atm. But because of how he acts, him and Bertrand were argueing for a lot of the time.

Mostly agree. But would have thrown Jrod on, he is likely to get a goal as Long, and have a soft spit for JRod and he had scored 2 This season

For me it was a typical Puel performance , we dominate possession and look the better team in the majority of games but our end product is terrible. The defence keep the other team at bay mainly through the work of Van Dijk and Romeu then one shot on target goes in.

For me the problems are this:

Forster is having a run of poor form he looks like he has no confidence and his kicking is getting worse

None of our midfielders score goals, Hojberg, Romeu, Clasie are all DMC's playing more than 1 of them is unecessary

Redmond, Tadic, Boufal, are not strikers and will not score the goals that we need these players would fit in to Koemans formation but not this one.

Austin is upfront all alone nobody is anywhere near him, he wins lots of headers and holds the ball up fairly well but 9 times out of 10 has nobody running off of him.

Sadly playing this formation / style i can see us finishing 14/15th and no silverware which is a huge step backwards especially considering we will lose Fonte and Van Dijk in January or the summer which will now mean another rebuilding job.
