I personally don't think Swansea are interested. We were used in similar ways when we were in the prem. Remember us being linked with the likes of Bonaventure Kalou? Ayala is a quality player - and at the minute he is on the verge of a surprise move with no auction taking place. If his agent isn't behind that Swansea story coming out - I'd be very surprised.
Asked Phil Buckingham this morning. He said Swansea's interest is definite and that Brendan Rodgers wanted to sign Ayala on loan last season. Worrying.
http://www.sport.co.uk/news/Football/55169/Swansea_boss_targets_defensive_addition.aspx There could be something in it.
glennon,I was disappointed to read your anti Swansea posts, and thought I would reply, pointing out the error of your ways. However, after reflection, and re-reading your postings I decided that you simply weren't worth wasting too much time on. Perhaps the problem lies with you. You come across as a "horrible" small minded person, and get what you deserve,be it in Swansea,or anywhere else unfortunate enough to have you as a visitor. I have always had a soft spot for Hull City, and I won't let you tarnish that. "HORRIBLE" little man.
Just thought I would say I have worked in Swansea a number of times and I certainly don't think badly of the place or the people. All cities have their good spots and their bad spots, Hull itself is certainly no different. Good luck in the Premiership, savour every second. But be warned, it's a bit like a really hot curry; Great while your eating it but it once its over it can cause a lot of discomfort for a long time!!!
Another hot topic which has degenerated into a load of **** again. Well done lads If interest from Swansea is genuine and they can match our bid, there's a minimal chance he'll come back here. An opportunity to play in the Premier League won't be passed up by Ayala I don't think
Any news on this one ? Has Ayala been at the ground or anything today ? Looking and sounding ominous... (is that spelt right ??)
Well aren't we the lucky ones then , not being graced with your presence. ,I've never met you so that a quite a sweeping statement to make. No anti english elements here but I may change my mind based on your sentiments. You may need to consider the fact that people (where ever they may be from) may take an immediate dislike to you and I can understand why now. This thread about a player not your personnal preferences
Why the **** does every thread that even mentions another club turn into a ******'s version of "Location, Location, Location"?
Very true. The point of issue with regards to Ayala is does he want to come to a club with ambition and a club he knows OR go and be a bench warmer in a struggling Pl team.? IF Swansea get hammered @ Man City nest monday that could well do damage that the Swans will not get back from. Its down to Ayala and how much he trusts NP. The devil you know or the one you dont ? But for sure the delay last week haggling over the fee has made a nailed on signing less certain.
Well it looks like we are talking to Liverpool about, you could be gazumped for him I am afraid http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14436511.stm and guys less of the anti welsh and swansea crap, you have gone down in my esteem of your club and fans, its club football not a national one!
Well it's cringeworthy when our fans insist on trying to belittle bigger clubs or better teams (and I'm not talking about the usual Messageboard banter), or insult other towns and cities when Hull has been voted "Worst Place To Live In The UK" on innumerable occasions.
What because of one person's view? Hardly speaks for everyone like. I'd suggest take glennonslastpint's opinions with a pinch of salt.
it's not my way to rise to this sort of thread but need to put my two-penny worth in - for my sins I spent a fair time in Cardiff after buying a business there & spent many a happy night drinking Brains & having the banter with the locals - in my experience they were patriotic (as we all are) but with the odd exception fairly level-headed. With the greatest of respect to any of the posters on here it was exactly the same for us on 606 when we went up - do we not remember the bile & venom spit at us by various established team supporters ( who mentioned gooners...)....? Swansea (who we beat at home first game of the season but let's not dwell on that...) have done really well to get up to the PL & played good football getting up there - how many of you went to their place & watched them pass through us and I dare say lots of others besides...? We all know getting there is one thing, staying there is another - after having experienced PL football I do prefer the cut & thrust of Championship but it doesn't stop me hoping we'll be there again soon....right, I'll get me coat.....
Slightly better news that sky reckon Swansea are after Matthew bates of boro. Surely it'd be one or the other...
Same happened to us in our first Premier league season, every available player was linked to us and most of it was bullshit.
