Can't blame it all on tactics. Look at how we dominated Inter in the San Siro. Failing to win that was because we lack the attacking quality. Nothing Puel can really do about that when he is being asked to play with the likes of Rodriguez and Redmond.

 

Because it is the whole game plan, as soon as the midfield opens up we play the safe pass sidewards or backwards and do not attack the space. I take your point, and had we missed 5 gloriud opportunities it would be down to the strikers, I don' t remember any, because we played conservatively, I get that st Arsenal, but not at home in a game you need to win

 

I was expecting a game of blood and thunder, like Everton where we just went at their throats from the off. To get them scared. Show that we mean it.

That performance was anything but and I've tried to be positive in the past, yes this is a great learning experience for us and we will be prepared for next time (big if imo), but we should be thrashing these teams. I know they're the champions of their league for a reason but come on. At least give them a game.

 

Two or three more games like this in the league and Puel MUST go.
Need to offload some of the dross players and the board MUST bring in fresh capable players especially a couple of forwards in the January window.
