The Football Association have suspended Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino from all football activities for 18 months and fined the Italian £250,000. He was charged with breaching the FA's football agent rules over the sale of Ross McCormack to Fulham in 2014. In addition, the club have also been fined £250,000. Cellino, whose ban will start on 1 February 2017, has already indicated to the FA that he intends to appeal against the ruling.
That's a relief. For a minute I thought they'd escaped their nightmare. Glad to read that they're still stuck, fast asleep in doom, like us.
Blimey, they got rid of Bates saying nobody could be worse, and went downhill with owners after that.
He may fall out with the authorities, but he's rather endeared himself with the Leeds fans recently, he's far more popular than Bates,
Neither have I. I was basing my view on the comments of Leeds fans elsewhere, who pretty much said that with the "exception of the facebook ****wits" the fans want Cellino out. They've had the posters, trailers, banners aeroplanes and chants etc, quite recently. Sadly, the impetus of the trust there seems to have declined due to internal issues.
