And definitely not a ref who thinks knocking the ball back for the keeper to take a free kick means the ball is in play.

American's can't drink, this is fact.

We were in a bar in Boston with lads 4 times our size (slight exaggeration for effect there...), they were cattled after 4 - 5 beers, the point where an Englishman reaches 'pool hero' status and begins to increase consumption 2-fold.

1:04 right now, ya we have fall season and spring season with the youths and a winter break. We want our nation to continue growing but we have all these summer breaks and winter breaks when the kids should be playing year round. By the time spring comes around I will have to revisit a lot of what we did in the fall because the kids will do f*** all during the winter. Although I have a good group and really passionate about the game so should be good.

One of my good friends is doing a summer coaching school in San Fransisco as we speak, he says there's some genuine talent there, all untouched by the MLS clubs.

The MLS needs more clubs, with the size of the country and the cities, if the USA are ever gonna step up.

We still have the pay to play system that outcasts a lot of talent. Most clubs have scholarship to provide to kids who are very talented but don't have the money, but it doesn't reach everyone unfortunetly. Klinsmann is on the ball about having every MLS have everything as they do in Europe from a youth set-up, reserve, etc all the way down to the grassroots where other clubs can feed into the MLS so the stones all get turned. Klinsmann knows grassroots and that is what we need along with a little remodeling of how the MLS should and needs to work.

Sky..... if those Americans couldn't handle it, probably because we are bad as a nation at not pacing our drinking. It is all about beer games, chugging, keg stands, etc anddrinking that much that fast leaves a long night.

I was bad about that with college, but my problem was I took everything that was thrown at me, beer, liquor, wine, etc I did it all in one night and would usually wake up blacked out and in unknown places. lol. Calmed down since then but that is what college is there for!

For the mackems ( learning), who do you think will be the break-out player for you this year? Or a player you would recommend on fantasy prem and all that.

Sessegnon will score big points this season FF wise.

We have had a load of players in the England youth squads for this seasons tourneys, so there's a pack that may start to get games.

My fellow Sunderland fans, with Caroll and his heading ability in will Bruce play,

    Brown/Anton
    Brown/Bramble
    Brown/Turner

I think Brown and Anton. For me Brown has the experience and will be a good influence on Anton. Both are quick to deal with the pace of Suarez and Anton does win a lot in the air. The thing is were never going to win everything against Carol in the air, the trick is to never let him win it in a dangerous position and to be first to the 2nd ball.

Bramble and Turner have both looked 1/2 a yard off the pace in pre season and need some more time. I think they will end up as the first choice pairing once fully fit.
