its always better the ole binge watch than waiting weeks, months, years to see / find out how one event turns out and also allows the characters and plots/sub-plots to stay fresh
Problem I have with GOT is that it can be a bit dull (don't kill me Bod) visually stunning but the story at times seems to go nowhere and then catch up all at once. I find it a much more entertaining programme if you can watch 2 or three at a time. One a week and at times you get nothing from the episode. When it comes back I'm going to watch it 2 at a time, I'll have to avoid spoilers. Breaking Bad had a lull and did get a bit boring, Better Call Saul already looks a better programme with some stunning cinematography and top notch acting from Bob Oddenkirk. My top 5 at this moment. The Wire The Sopranos True Detective Season 1 Fargo TWD (I just love it despite it's inadequacies) Better Call Saul is going to get in there is Season 2 delivers.
They are pretty bad but there's scene that made me piss myself. There are 2 guys that super swear to stand by him and do for a bit until they have to go somewhere quite difficult and they just decide to leave with not much of an excuse, it is the worst writing ever.
you need to watch it on catch up. The dialogue and story telling on catch cup is epic. I just watched the battle on the wall and frankly it is utterly spectacular. I watched the trial by combat just before and honestly... **** me... the whole build up was brilliant to that. giving the talk and speeches and trial before it... sure ok you don't get instant gratification. but its much better for it. Tyvin lannister is badly missed but he got his on the ****ter great stuff. IMO if you could watch the whole thing start to end it'd be the better than 95% of movie trilogies out there Like... if you compare to the new starwars... **** these 3 episodes put that utterly to shame. if you look at lord of the rings.. if it had been not 3 movies but 5 series long it could have been this good from the novels
three stories that make more sense binging are arya, deanrys and little finger. they whole thing ties together better precisely why varys and tyrion go to mereen is still well... convenient frankly. Season 5 seems to be a filler and positioner series to me but there you go.
new jason and the Argonauts? heaven for-fend. did they make them as well... as jj abrahbollox involved?
Better Call Saul is good but it's not on the same level as breaking bad. Best 5 shows I've watched in the past year. Man in the High Castle, Breaking Bad, Then slightly below them: The Path, Marco Polo, Last Kingdom I'd probably have GoT up there too but it's been a few years since I've watched it. Once the series is over I'll get a 3 month free pass to HBO go and watch the last 2 or 3 seasons.
