I agree. He's not a "united" player. Think he'll go to higher than us unless we can stick another 6-8 points on before the window opens and be somewhere near mid table. I watched Fellaini for United and he looks like a small fish there. He'd be a big fish here but his wage may be an issue

All due respect mate... That's a stupid thing to say. Really, really stupid. You've got an opinion and the fact that others might not share it doesn't mean they know nothing about football. It means they've got a different opinion to you.

Fellaini isn't the player he was and we've spent 10m on Rodwell recently. So we really don't need another expensive failure who we signed... As a failure from one of the big clubs.

He's not failed to that extent though disco. (Apologies as I should be worded it bettrr) but 10 million for a player who is better than most we've already got is a bargain surely?

I don't think Fellaini has 'lost it' to be honest, I just think he's never had what we needed. He's still an effective player, but completely unsuited to the way we play the game.

When Pogba is next to him, it looks like the most uncomfortable partnership I've seen.

I disagree. Rodwell got injuries and failed to make an impact at Citeh.

Fellaini makes it on to the pitch and consistently has a negative impact on United games.

I like the fellaini of old but he's been on a downwards curve. He'll be on ****ing big wages within our structure and as such represents a big, big risk.

He could be a mega player for us no doubt. He could also be a massive bag of ****. I'd rather pay 10m for a player who's been playing well. I'd expect to low ball United for a player who's little more than a burden to them and if they get better money elsewhere... I'd look elsewhere. For a performing player.

Also... He's older than I thought, he's approaching 30 and only has 18 months left on his deal unless they weirdly gave him a new one.

I think United would be over the moon to get £10m for him.

I think he's comfortably a £10m player. Defoe is 34 and still playing at the highest level (although he's not allowed to play for the national side seemingly as Vardy will get in ahead of him - and he's been crap this season!)

Not sure of "actual value" but £10m after we paid £13.6m for an unknown would, IMO, be very good business (I like N'Dong BTW) - he hasn't been awful at Man Utd - he just hasn't been Man Utd standard - big fish moves to massive pond and becomes small fish syndrome I think. By today's standards, £10m for a decent and fit midfielder is bloody good business

Will you shut up. You'll have Tel all excited. Christmas aint coming early, Tel. Relax.

In all seriousness, I'm not sure he's the same player that he was back in the day for Everton. I'd be very cautious about paying 10 million for him these days.

I believe Kirchhoff is a much better player than him. I know he's always injured like, but just to make a comparison.

10 million for Fellaini would give us yet another player that has absolutely no resale value.

To make up for that he'd have to be pretty damn awesome.

    Massive, massive risk.

Agree with this. We`ve seen more than enough of that thank you.

Buying players at the end of their careers is the opposite of what we should be doing. That`s when we should be selling them.

O`Shea & Defoe are the exception rather than the rule and even so worth very little on paper.

Fair enough, but it may be that Moyes just wasn't fully aware of the situation when he spoke to Nick. I don't think we'll ever know the full truth.

My opinion - no one is at fault, it's just one of those things.

The club thought we would get him for free in 6 months so didn't want to be held to ransom, so put some kind of agreement in place, although clearly not cast-iron - fair enough position imo.

M'Vila appears to have sort of agreed but has since changed his mind, perhaps as he's had a better offer - again, fair enough.

Just one of those things, why does there always have to be a villain?

(That last bit not aimed at you Bri, but it seems most on here are wanting to either blame M'Vila or the club, I'm just putting another point of view across - nobody is really to blame)

I'd much rather Moyes found a younger lad like N'Dong but around the 8-10 million, I think like some others on here that as hes over 30 his resale value would be poor, I've no idea who this mystery midfielder would be but feel its quite a gamble to take on Fellani.

This is how I read it, plus Moyes was never keen to sign him, why who knows, it looks like another huge mistake by the club, Bain is full of s..t, would take what he says, if he ever says anything, with a pinch of salt, I too have a feeling that that Fella with big hair will be our big signing in January, and that will make at least one regular on here very happy. No where near the standard of M,Vila but better than what we have at present, ie Catts, Rodders and Pienaar.

If you ignore what you do know and believe what you don't know, you're never going to know anyway. I think your own thought process of blind 'what if' gets you nowhere, you're welcome to believe what you want of course but you're never going to sway me with that mate.

Because it's business. There is somebody making decisions at every step. Somebody is always accountable in Business. Always.

Fact is the only party not interested in doing a deal was Sunderland AFC, 6 months down the line and oh, we had a deal in place(Even though our own manager let slip there wasn't one) but the player has gone back on it.

If I'm going to believe anything without evidence it that our tight arse club wouldn't pay him his demands(and this an 80k a week player here).
