I don't think Moyes wanted him enough to justify his demands. He's a top player who will commend a top wage and rightly so. Nutshell. When we learned how long was left on his contract I doubt if any of us realistically expected the club to pay up. We can argue as much as we like about how much that actually was but it`s obvious the club had no intention of paying anything.

Maybe Moyes doesn't rate M'Vila in his system as much as Allardyce/Advocaat did. Moyes always plans long term.

Can't say fairer than that as it confirms the club's statement. I am still puzzling whether that other picture thing from back in July when he was supposed to flown in was actually him. Onward and upward.
