    How do players rate.

The best local player to ones that were canny crap really.

Jordan Henderson flying the flag high lately. The other Jordan doing well in goal.

Monty was a Hendon lad. A legend.

Pop Robson was also a Sunderland lad i think. Sure it was Roker. Smashing player.

    Anymore for anymore?

    N. B they dont have to have played for safc.

It says Hendon on his wiki page (aye i know). Mind they also have Sunderland County Durham. So not the most reliable of sources.

A true iconic player for me was from Chester le Street - Colin Todd - t r e men dous - I was a left half in my youth and TRIED to model my game on him
So as it is Sunder - land why not include those born near the Wear - Shaun Elliot, Gary Rowell and Howard Kendall .......Bryan Robson - many others

As I posted why not include players born on near banks of River Wear - would include many more players
You are not keen to do this - Gary Moore - fringe Sunderland player in 70's lived at bottom of my street in Sunderland - <cheers>

    Yep.

    Thoughts as a player?

I liked him. Lazy at times, but still had that spark at times.
