Apart from some 'freebies' from building societies and insurance companies I got out of shares in 2006. There may well be a small rally next week but the fundamanentals in the market are just not there. IMO

    Re Kompany.
You're right. He is citys stand out centre back, and I totally agree, Lescott is useless. He's actually better at scoring from set pieces than he is at defending them. I also don't rate Kolarov either.
Mark Hughes sold a far better defender in Richard Dunne for 3 times less than he bought Lescott for. ''Big Dunney'' isn't the most elegant, but he will defend for dear life. A couple of years back City played United and it was when Geovanni scored the winner, Dunne and Richards were immense.
I have to admit that Uniteds second goal was top drawer, the number of dummy passes that led to the goal itself was fantastic. The one touch passing and movement was superb.

For once I agree with you. Kompany is City's best defender by a mile and Lescott isn't a patch on Dunne's back. Also the goal was top drawer. Are you sure someone didn't gain access to your not606 account?

Believe it or not it is me.
I have voiced my opinion, it was a top drawer goal and excellently executed. It was Barcelona esque in its creation. However Kompany boobed big time by dawdling in possession on the half way line. Well done Nani for making up the ground to rob him and finish for the 3rd goal. Being that alert even in the 90th minute is top class.
On the negative side,De Gea would need to have more authority in goal and manage his area better. He was a bit sluggish. Then again Vidic and Ferdinand didn't help him, both switched off for both goals. Ferdinand ball watched for the first one,and Vidic didn't close down for the second.
Then again City weren't much better at defending a set piece either,as trhey were caught flat footed by Smalling. Their tactics were all wrong for that, why on earth would a strikler be marking a centre back on a set piece. It was Dzeko that was marking Smalling. Mancini again messed up.
As for Ballotelli and his antics..the less said the better.

Just goes to show you even the best players can make the silliest of mistakes.

I suppose, possibly the only centre half that came out with any glory was Phil Jones. Smalling played right back.

Swarbs. Are you back in the saltmine/gulag yet, or are you still in the UK? I've tried to get a message to you that Horizon looks very good tonight. I think it's on the nature of colour (that's color to you, Bluff!).

Smalling did really well out there I thought. Crazy though, did not expect the game to change like that when Fergie was making the subs. Wellbeck is starting to earn his role in the team, similar to what Sturridge is doing over at Chelsea.

Don't forget that book I recommended - Quantum by Manjit Kumar. Also Shadows of the Mind by Roger Penrose. It's pretty heavy, but worth the effort!

But for the 3rd goal, if Kompany had been playing in a league match he'd have been sent off and Nani wouldn't have landed yet:emoticon-0102-bigsm

An open question to anyone on here, but particularly the mods. Is there a way you can block someone from sending personal messages to you? That tool wooly has started doing it and I want to stop it with immediate effect. Thank you in advance.
