Cameron was always a self serving ar5e who thought he was going to win the Brexit vote with ease ..... why??? ..... because he didn't bother to ask anybody from the North what they felt about the EU
And because the practical impacts of mass EU immigration were never felt by him, his family and his gilded chums. He never had to wait 7 days for a GP appointment or wait 6 hours in a packed A&E full of Poles with the flu- his kids never had their lessons interrupted whilst the teachers explained things in 6 different languages.
he also never had to wait until his mum passed away to get a tax free £300,000 to buy a bigger house for his family.
He also never had to wait to find out if he was getting my leadership vote in 2005 - I told him "no" to his face straight away
There is a fantastic video/graphic doing the rounds on Twitter at the moment, about what has happened to the "world leaders" since the G7 last met. Harper - Canada - kicked out by the voters Cameron - UK - kicked out by the voters Renzi - Italy - kicked out by the voters Obama - US - usurped by Trump Hollande - France - so unpopular he can't even face the voters That leaves the Japanese PM.....Fraulein Merkel ...and guess who ....Jean Claude Juncker The one "Head of State" who will never suffer the inconvenience of having to face the voters. Thank God we are getting out !!
I was told by my chemistry teacher 50 years ago that Europe would eventually become the United States of Europe, just like the good ol' US of A.
or perhaps it will revert to Sovereign Nations like the USSR did?.... but, then again, I am not a Chemistry Teacher
Sad story in the paper today about the 19 year old daughter of a senior EU diplomat - raped and murdered in Germany by an Afghan refugee.
Aged 17 apparently. Has already confessed to it. The German authorities should hand him over to the Taliban.
The Express: "Theresa May challenges the whining remoaners" The Times: "Theresa May forced to back down". Nothing like good unbiased news reporting.
The new civil servant appointed to head the Brexit negotiations is said by No. 10 to be "A tough negotiator". How does this work? How can a Whitehall mandarin be a "tough negotiator"? Surely not a load of BS from St. Theresa?
New Year's resolution is to try and ignore politics as much as possible (specifically in the form of social media, where I've unfollowed any politically biased content from either side of the spectrum - with the exception of Nick on Twitter, obviously!). But I will break my vow to say that the new guy's beard is disgusting.
Rest assured Kish - I don't Tweet about politics. It loses me Followers - although not as many as when I slag Tony Watt
