I still don't get why someone with no interest in football buys a football club, is he that much of an egomaniac? Sure is an expensive hobby, wasn't he satisfied with St Trudien?
Good series of posts @Miketyson2007Junior. Even if we get back into the Championship and he sells immediately the next owner will have to spend some serious dosh... Selling all our best players and youngsters has put is back a lot of ****ing years. Five or six years down the line we still probably won't have recovered, and that is if he sells today.
The other option is to cash in on assets. He could potentially reclaim up to £10million with a single sale this January in Lookman. And £1.7 million for Morgan Fox
I reckon if Charlton do get offers for Fox in January they will bite the buyers hands off this time. An absolutely abysmal full back.
We've always been a selling club though? Bowyer, Parker, Shelvey, Jenkinson, Gomez... That's the nature of clubs of our level sadly It is new though to be selling our best players for no real reason; and the continuing lack of negotiating skills at our Club - even historically - is juss shockin.
Agree. I made a comment suggesting a season at L1 could do him wonders, but if anything he has looked worse than last season. The porous midfield and lack of protection doesn't help, but he is utter dross. I've watched a lot of football in my time, so I'd like to think I can spot a good player. Can't see what any scout would see in him. Slow, poor positional sense, **** touch, can't tackle and he can't pass.
I still fear that when he moves on he'll make something of himself. Has an air of Simon Francis about him.
But with reams mentality, we will sign 3 b'mouth players over the next 100 years and he will tell us "I told you so"
What a good player Harry Arter is this days . Didn't look out of place against Liverpool's midfield on Sunday. We really missed a trick there.
Can't see it myself. Francis was strong, relatively quick and loved to get forward, whilst not being completely useless at defending like most modern fullbacks. The only thing I can say about Fox is that he works his socks off and his head never drops.
Was horribly mistreated at the club. At that time I thought he was better than Josh Wright, but pards and PP saw it the other way around.
