And I put Wimbledon as my first team...believing that if Curzon were that rubbish, Wimbledon would score oodles. What was I thinking.

    Stupid game anyway.

Yeah, I got the Wombles too, I need Northampton to score 4 and Liverpool to score less than 2 now...big ask.

...and there's a reason that I sometimes predict that someone will score on a 50+ yard volley. That also, occasionally, happens:

For you it would it would be "tune" as it would for me but round here and further North "One True Geordie" style then it sounds like Choon or sometimes "Cheown"

7,012 attendance tonight the bast**ds. 15 minutes from the end the fog came down and us at the top couldn't see anything and with that stand being full up we couldn't move down to the lower level(s)

Atmosphere was kicking though, hope it came across on the screen :)

Did you hear about that story of a famous goalie, who was just starting off in his career [I think, or just ending it], and he played in an extremely foggy match. At one point the ref took the players off the field, but play eventually resumed. Anyway, the goalie's team was dominating, and they kept disappearing entirely, so thick was the fog. At one point, he reckoned that he was waiting around for nearly 15 minutes, then a copper walked by and asked him what he was doing. He answered and the copper said, "they abandoned the match and left the field about a quarter of an hour ago."

I've heard that story loads of times and it still cracks me up. Completely true as well. <laugh>

Roy Hodgson says he would make England players repeat instructions back to him and suggested some did not understand what he wanted from them.

Did anyone else read the piece from Roy. What a shocking waste of two years that man was. I'd have had more faith in Ian Holloway & 11 L2 players going into a competition. Wish he'd retire quietly, I never want reminding about the last two tournaments. <grr>
