haha, I have another story of ignorance of Americans but will save for another thread seeing as this is the build up for the match. I can tell the difference between the accents pretty well for the most part, a lot of americans think all British people come from London.

Henderson will want to beat his old team even though he's a lifelong mackem,Andy Carroll being ex toon and a toon fan will also want to be beat them and Downing being an ex smoggie will also want to beat them. These three make it interesting.

The whole of Carra's family were big Blues fans.

It's sad that the rivalry has got so bitter recently. I can remeber, back in the day, when we all went to the Derby match together then to our seperate ends and met back in the pub. That to me is how it should be. They are your enemies for 90 minutes rhen theyare your mates again.

Can i just pop a quick note on to say it's great to see some mutual respect here from both sides.

Wonderful for us that Liverpool aren't expecting a roll over, and good to see both sets of lads having some cracking views on both sides.

    Well done all <ok>

Yeah, was known as the 'friendly' derby weren't it?

It'd never wash up here mind, we may be pals all week, but matchday, and a few days either side, they can go drown in their own piss.

I love the fact we have a rival worthy of giving a **** about though, look at poor Yorkshire, used to have a few teams in the Premier, now they are all ****e.

We'll be pals again by Wednesday, took a bit longer after the last one at SJP mind.

Haha thanks, I'll brush up on my English geography, I swear it!

What ever happened to the Scottish keeper you had (Sund)? Craig Gordon right?

    Edit: English not Egnlish

He could injure himself buttering toast that man, hence he is out for the start of the season.

Rumours that he is made of paper mache and nitrogen are unproven at this stage.

    Yep, £9million.

He's a top keeper when he gets a run, but invariebly he gets injured and then takes a few games to find forming, it's a never ending cycle sadly.

Mignolet did ok, he'll be a great keeper, but he's young for first choice, Westwood has looked solid pre-season, but he'll have to battle for his chance.

No he's gone mate, clubless at the minute, shame, as he was great to have around, and still a very capable player to boot.
