True or not, he's not going to be of that much use. We could have Diego Costa starting for us but without decent supply he's not going to score. Good addition but we need to bring in a decent winger too

If I was them, I'd be offering him a loan deal to the end of the season to stop him strengthening a relegation rival. Almost a no brainer.
I think this is a bit of a fallacy. When we sign someone and they get injured, even if it's totally unrelated to any previous problems, people say we've "signed a crock". If like Austin, we turn them down and they do elsewhere, everyone ignores the fact that he did actually have a spell out with a knee injury related to what was identified by our medical team. Not saying that means they were right to not sign him. It's just sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't. Austin did have an underlying knee issue.
