SB went out and bought mostly players who have premiership experience and also players who will get goals, not necessarily from up front. Larsson's set pieces, Gardner got 10 from midfield in a relegated side, O'Shea and Brown have masses of experience, Vaughan is full of running, Sess will be like a new signing and should be our key man if he links up well with Gyan which we've seen glimpses of. Then we have Wickham and Ji who have both scored in preseason with both of them rated as one of their countries 'next big things'. So yeah, we are stronger in terms of quality and depth. As loads of people have asked before, is your team stronger now? And would it be stronger wiithout Barton and Enrique who will more than likely be off?
Alright lads, this ^^^ with regards to your team I think you've certainly improved on last year's squad, O'Shea & Brown will bring a bit more experience to your defense. Can't knock you for selling Henderson to the bindippers either, sometimes if people are going to offer silly money for players you have no choice but accept it. Sess looks like a good player too. Got Bardsley in my fantasy football so make sure you look after him

In this case I agree with you that your comments have probably been taken out of context and were not meant to be racist. However, the problem seems to lie with your past history and reputation which seems to make people think the worst.

It's a pretty decent side, but you take Pav and Enrique out (which realistically is gonna be the case), who fills the holes? Barton may be gone (personally, i think he'll remain), Cabaye may still be finding his feet, and may struggle with the sheer ugliness of coming face to face with Catts.. Such a shame if we don't have a strong left winger to get at the decidedly average Simpson.
I would hope that if Enrique were to leave that we would have arranged a replacement for him, but admittedly it's hard to see all that happening between now and the 20th. Also hoping that if not Pav we have brought in another decent striker before then aswell, but once again its all speculation unfortunately. I'm hoping that the lot of your players will be distracted by the sheer handsomeness of Cabaye, he could make a bengal tiger purr with those rugged good looks In all seriousness though hes looked like the real deal in pre-season just hoping he can do it in the big time aswell. Agreed that Simpson is the weak link in our defence and if Bruce has anything about him as a manager he should be looking to exploit this. I honestly haven't a clue how the result is going to go, just hoping its a good old fashioned tussle with no fans on either side acting like helmets
I'll second that. Cabaye is nee Angeleri mind, although Angeleri is no footballer, so it evens out... Pav is not possible mate, 70k a week? No way, and he won't take a cut as he could get that of half the Russian Premier League. Shane Long is who you should be thinking of, and he'd be a good buy as well.
