Really poor show second half. Worst I've seen us play all season. Highlights how thin our squad is.....no Couthino's and Matip and we look exposed. What did we have from the bench after Lallana? Chequebook needs to be aired if possible in January...
One of the worst halves of football ever. The funny thing is that the defence and keeper had little to do and they still bottled it. Karius was awful and Lovren .. well ... I'll actually refrain from saying what I really want.
Origi had a funny game.. few good moments, but partly at fault for their 2nd and 3rd gals with silly errors. Looked so comfortable at HT, they didn't even threaten. Concede 1 silly goal and whole team crumbles. No leaders in that team to get players together and sort them out. Karius, Lovren, Lucas, Hendo, Milner, Gini, none of them are big strong personalities that are going to bang a few heads together and get team back to levels they showed in first half.
wijnaludm - thought he was very ineffective today, seemed not to be interested and gave the ball away a lot. Firmino was poor, though not his best position.
Again, poor game management. 3-1 up and team wanted a 4th and 5th. Need to learn when enough is enough and take the sting out of the game and kill it off.
I blame Gary Lineker.. at HT tweeted this Gary Lineker When did 2-0 up become a dangerous score? Hear it so often now. Would like to know percentage of games lost from there? Suspect not high.
We could have sat back and defended with 11 behind the ball - but it doesn't make a difference when you make individual errors.
We know we lack strength in depth and having players missing would effect us. It's just disappointing the way is happened.
Again shows the mental fragility of this team. Mane and Origi let the team down after scoring, thinking their jobs were done, not tracking back, sloppy in possession. Lucas should not play in central defence and Karius is a lateral change to Mignolet - not an upgrade at all.
It's not really down to this though, I don't think. We were well in control of this game and should not have let it happen.
I blame Klopp for poor game management. The moment Can got the third we should have switched Can to stay at the base. We proceeded to go for a fourth rather than shut up shop and thus the reason that sub had all the time and space to attack. We lack leaders on the pitch but the manager has lacked leadership today too. Great play by Bournemouth though. They deserved the win
I think we do have a strong mentality - we've shown it a few times this season when conceding stupid goals and hanging on for wins. What can't be helped when one or two individuals needlessly put others under pressure. Rotten apples.
Hence me saying its disappointing the way it happened. Had the goals been scored in a different order, people would be blaming the injuries. Not saying we shouldn't have won, having been two goals up twice there is little doubt we should have closed the game and won. We all know Lovren needs Matip alongside him. Lucas looks alright but he's simply not a CB and Karius still looks very shaky. Add to that that our front three were all poor and it doesn't make for good reading.
Think our defence were doing a mannequin challenge at times. We could have killed that game at 2-0 or 3-1 by Can and Hendo sitting back, instead we played like Newcastle did under Keegan and kept trying to score.
