I've got Nani in my fantasy football team, it hurt me to put him in but he's sure to get some assists and goals .
Most of them All seriously the amount of threads created on the old 606 by gooners claiming the BBC and the papers had it in for Arsenal was pathetic.
I had silva in there but in that city team he will always be hit and miss, I think nani is more consistent now and he has been on pretty good form all pre-season. A******! haha, can;t stand him. my fantasy team is already in pieces thanks to arsenal as well.
How many 20 year old keepers start in England for the most successful team? He doesn't play for the most successful team...he plays for Man United. Liverpool on overall trophies won(40) are still ahead of Man United(38) as the most decorated club in English football. Liverpool remain as Englands most successful club.
De Gea has to be given a chance. Obviously the spotlight is on him and that's not just because of the fee. His biggest problem is that the media and United fans will always be comparing his performance with VDS - just as some of his predecessors were comapred to Schmiechal. Yesterday was not the match to judge him on and make any predictions as to his abilitites. He showed some good shot-stopping abilities but was beaten by a 30 yarder that he could see all the way. It really was a game that he needed to get out of his system. So calm down and give him a chance. By Christmas you should be able to tell if he's an assett or a liability.
You cannot include the Fifa World Club Cup or Charity shields. Its major trophies only and therefore Liverpool remain ahead 40- 38.
go on KFR admit that yesterday when United's (the team you really lurve) winning goal went in a little bit of wee came out. ... did'n't it?
Everything except. 2nd division titles. Charity shields. The ''We played teams nobody has heard of'' Cup aka the Intercontinental cup and the FIFA world club cup. The Super Cup. Which means Liverpool remain ahead 40-38.
Never mind that, I'm just amazed he's counting! He must have taken the socks and shoes off all his inflatable "friends" to be able to count that high.
Surely if your disregarding all of those cups you should also disregard the "everybody plays all the kid's that nobody has heard of" cup a.k.a. the League Cup as nobody seems to really care about it.
Look KPR will never admit Utd are greater, bigger etc than Liverpool. Even if Utd were to win 2 more Champion Leagues in the next 2 seasons, he'd say Liverpool reached that milestone first and were still bigger.
The ''everybody plays kids because nobody cares about it cup'' aka the league cup. Wasn't that a major trophy in 2009 and 2010 when Man United won it? Wasn't it part of your domestic double in 2009 and a valuable trophy in 2010? From my recollections didn't Man United have an open bus parade for their league cup victory in 2010?
conscrete, on your video sig, look at welbeck's movement to open the space for nani, didn't notice that on the replay. Still drives me crazy when players don't follow their man when they run in the box ( spearing against valerenga, I went nuts lol)
This is all true, but then like you said it applies to any club. If we are truly facing a global depression triggered by the Eurobonds and US currency markets then no club, business or country is likely to escape unscathed. In fact, if it's triggered the the Eurobonds market then Spain is likely to be one of the first off the cliff, thus hurting Barca and Real more than any other club as they are the ones with the highest wage levels. Although I've also seen many commentators predicting a period of stagnation with low growth and inflation but no real crash, in which case countries like Spain and Italy may be able to skate along the edge and avoid the fates of Greece, Ireland and Iceland. Although I would dispute the argument that Utd's health is reliant on a constantly growing income stream. Even at our current income levels we are still generating large amounts of cash each year and covering the debt. If the global economy goes off the cliff then maintaining revenue levels would be enough to keep us solvent given that Barca and Real, who are two of the main drivers of wages, would be hammered by a Spanish default, and the Italian clubs also by an Italian one. But then it doesn't matter how much theory or practice you know, if the global economy does down the pan all bets and predictions are off. That depends on what you mean by options. Personally I don't think it's a case of what options are open, it's a case of what options are likely to hold up best in a wavering, or even crashing, economy. I have a sneaking suspicion that neither of them will be Yes, they both had the opportunity. But then the second placed team almost always has more options to garner more points that the top team. United's failure to beat Villa at home in 09/10, thus handing the title to Chelsea, was not in any way due to the strength of Chelsea. Neither was Liverpool's failure to beat Stoke and Boro at home in 08/09 due to the strength of Utd. You can make that argument in any season barring the exceptional ones like Arsenal in 03/04 or Chelsea in 04/05. At the end of the day it means nothing. United were stronger than Chelsea and Arsenal last season and so they won the league, despite not doing as well as we could, as proved by our away record.
Actually I've seen many people claim that Kompany is the only one of City's central defenders that they do rate. He's certainly better than Lescott and Toure in my book, possibly in the top six or seven centre backs in the PL.
Swarbs, If you've got the cash buy some bullion and stick it under the mattress - don't buy the certificates they are already over-subscribed by 10/11 times according to some US analysts. Perhaps better still grab all your lady's jewellry and stick that under the mattress
Way ahead of you mate - already got a few grand of gold - bought it in June 2009 and already made a 75% return Hoping for a small stock market rally in the next few weeks so I can dump some of my ISAs and get more gold. You reckon it's worth getting out of shares completely?
