Palarse are shipping goals for fun, but also scoring a few themselves, so I think that this maybe a fun match to watch...I'm going for the old favourite of 3-1 to Saints with Charlie getting a couple and VVD scoring from a corner. Sorry, no clean sheet this time saintsfcfan.
Is it song time? Keep out of the way Of madam cholet She's baking and there's not much time. The slightest delay Could ruin the day There's only one thing on her mind. And it's going to be The greatest occasion The evening of the womble year And it's going to be a big celebration Everybody will be there.... Roll back the carpet coz it's Bungo's birthday A little older and a bit more wise...
I just think we need to stop trading with the dross we currently do. Need to move to next level up - direct to Barca, do not stop at Merseyside.
What will it be then, a repeat of 2014 where we go there in December and get their manager sacked for Christmas, or a repeat of 2015 were we go there and put on a dire display a lose? It really is another one of those games where I can easily see all results being possible. Part of me is inclined to say that this is our most important league game so far this season. We had a rocky patch, but a few solid results have allowed us to start to put that behind us. But all it is, is a start. You can hardly say that we're flying again. But given the fixture list ahead, including the opportunity to progress from our EL group, there is absolutely every chance of being able to fly again - and ultimately have the sort of December that we usually have in Feb/March time. We could easily be nicely tucked up in the top eight come New Years Day. PS. Looking at Everton and Spurs' recent results, maybe it's not the club who is cursed when it comes to November and December, maybe it's Poch and Koeman? We just thought it was us.
part of me is inclined to say that this is our most important league game so far this season ___________________________________________________________ Nah, Swansea & Everton were far bigger results for us. Had we not beaten Ron last Sunday, then I'd agree this would have been one behind Swansea though.
MATCH DAY!! Come on Saints... let's keep the good form going ahead of Thursday. 2-1 Saints, Austin & Redmond
The Hapoel match is far enough in the future to give plenty of time for R&R for the players (Probably). This is one of those games, a bit like Hull, where we (the fans) can see us winning easily, but the reality is that we should not underestimate other PL teams' ability to string passes together and score a couple of goals, or Saints' ability to lose from a seemingly impregnable position. On the somewhat hopeful assumption that the team, and Claude, learn from their mistakes, we will win today, by 2-0 (at least). Right, off to the station soonish, to catch a train to that Mecca of London chic, Thornton Heath, then onto Pardew-land (Think Disneyland with no queues)
It's no wonder that Laces thinks I'm in a musical vault... it's either 80s or children's songs from the 70's for me. My brain must be some kind of strange if I can just pull out the words to Wombles songs like that... Maybe I just can remember.... remember, remember, remember, remember, remember you're a womble, remember you're a womble! * need to book my next appointment *
